Caregivers Course - How to Get the Most Out of a Doctor’s Visit

June 16, 2021

How to Get the Most Out of a Doctor’s Visit in the Age of COVID on Thursday, June 17 from 6:30 – 8:00 pm

Are telehealth appointments overwhelming? Do you finish the call frustrated because you felt rushed or misunderstood? You may feel the same way even if you see your doctor in person. We will teach you how to get your doctor to listen to you, and how to get more from your next visit. You will learn the skills necessary to get the information you need, the respect you deserve – and what you must do in return. The techniques we will share will not only help you improve your doctor-patient relationship and ensure better healthcare, but will do the same for those you may be caring for, as well.

About The Facilitator:
The speaker is Lucille H. Deutsch, CALA, CMC. Lucy is a certified geriatric care manager with LHD Eldercare Solutions and a member of the Steering Committee of the Caregivers Coalition of Morris County. She has been a caregiver to two generations of her own family and is passionate about advocating for the highest quality of life for the aging population and those who care for them.

You can register simply by emailing  Stephanie.Howland@UnitedWayNNJ.org and letting her know for whom you care. She will then send your zoom registration link and confirmation.

These events have been made available to you thanks to the generosity of the Morris County Office on Aging, Disabilities, and Community Programming and the Morris County Freeholder Board
