Lynn Berberich, Owner
Lynn is passionate about helping people remain in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes.
Lynn’s grandmother just passed away at the age of 107. She lived in her own home until she was 95. Lynn’s father had Lewy Body dementia, and lived at home with homecare assistance until he died at the age of 90. Her youngest brother died in his late 30s; but with the help of Hospice, he died at home surrounded by his wife, his three sons, and family members that loved him. This is the root of Lynn’s passion for helping people remain in the comfort of their own home.
Lynn spent more than twenty-five years as an executive in corporate America, “In my years in corporate America I knew something was missing. BrightStar has given me the opportunity I was looking for to help people and also provide a valuable service to the community.” She sees BrightStar as a tool to provide more time and more peace of mind for family members; more hope, more joy, more comfort and more quality care for patients; and more success, more quality and more pride in their work for her employees.
Continuing her strong commitment to lifelong learning and education, Lynn became a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA).
Heidi Stevenson, Payroll, Billing and Collection
Heidi brings to BrightStar 12 years of experience in senior care, filling every role imaginable from direct hands on patient care to Business Office Coordinator at an Assisted Living. Heidi likes working at BrightStar because it allows her to make an impact on the life of others. Heidi is known for going that extra step the ensure customer satisfaction and comfort for those we serve. She always takes the time to listen to any requests, questions, or concerns no matter how big or small at any time of the day or night.
Jane Dinkle, RN, BSN – Director of Nursing
Jane completed her RN in 1976 and her BSN in 1978. She joined the US Air Force and served 9 years as an active duty nurse. She earned numerous merit medals and the Air Force Achievement medal. Following an honorable discharge she moved to Baltimore and spent 23 years in long-term care working with the disable and elderly. She served as the Director of Nursing and a Regional Director of Nursing for several well-known companies. She was hired in 2009 by BrightStar and entered the field of Home Health. She recognized early that “this was where she was meant to be” and was quickly promoted to the Director of Nursing.
Jane loves meeting and caring for so many people, getting to know their families and pets as well. She loves working for BrightStar and, “making a difference in the recovery and life of many patients. Homecare is so rewarding. It reminds me daily why I became a nurse—I will never work anywhere else. “ Jane is known for warmth and connection with patients and based on the results she has achieved several doctors have called her, “the best nurse they have ever had care for their patients.” Case Managers know that if they give a case to Jane and her team they will get great results.
Debbie Hill, Customer Service and Sales
After working in Corporate Finance for 22 years, Debbie Hill decided to join the BrightStar team to begin focusing on helping others. Since March of 2004, she has been the primary (and only) caregiver for her mother who suffers from vascular dementia and extreme anxiety. Debbie says, “It’s been a journey, and I have learned a significant amount along the way. I would like to use this experience to assist others in their care giving journey.” Debbie has significant personal experience with various eldercare resources, including Assisted Living and retirement communities, behavioral health units, adult day centers, in-home care and geriatric care management. She has learned what is important in choosing from all of these alternatives, and has found a perfect combination for her mom, using BrightStar for in-home care and an adult day center that provides socialization. “There are a lot of resources for the elderly, and until you are faced with the responsibility of caring for someone, you do not know what is available. Then you have to navigate through this sea of resources and determine what is the right fit for your loved one. It took me four years, but I finally figured it out and my mom is thriving. Mom has a quality of life and I have peace of mind. My family and I have our lives back too.” Debbie learned how important it is to have the right people caring for her mom, and joined the BrightStar team to help others in similar situations.
Debbie is a Certified Senior Advisor. She is know in the field for her compassion and willingness to help and to advise and her willingness to direct people to other resources.
Tracie Robinson, Customer Care Manager
She coordinates the schedules and communicates with caregivers and families. She is one of the people that manages the after hours phone. Tracie has a Bachelors Degree in Social Work. Before coming to BrightStar she worked as a social worker with seniors for 15 years. Tracie says, “I am an advocate for providing quality of life and quality of care for our clients. Here at BrightStar, we are proud of the quality of our caregivers and the respect and dignity we provide for our clients and their families.”
Kelly Natale, Customer Care Manager
Kelly has a B.A in Health Administration and spent 4 years studying in the healthcare field with the objective of one day running her own business in healthcare.
She has always been a people person and enjoys helping others in any way possible. While in school she was an in intern at another home healthcare company and worked her way up to the scheduling position. She gets great satisfaction from finding the caregiver that is a “perfect” match for BrightStar clients. In her role she selects caregivers from our applicant pool and manages the scheduling for our clients.
Kelly loves hearing from families that mom or dad love their caregiver and that it is a “great” fit. She gets a lot of satisfaction from knowing that BrightStar can provide quality care for someone’s loved one and we can help improve quality of life for our patients that near care in their home or in an assistant living or independent senior living facility. Kelly says that, “Every day is different and a challenge. Scheduling is like a large puzzle that is constantly changing and must be put together to make everyone happy with the outcome. There never seems to be a dull moment in the office but everyone works well together and we all have the same goal of making our clients and their families happy with the private duty nursing care that we provide.”
Kelly focuses on customer satisfaction and communication so that everyone remains happy and informed. She believes everyone should be involved in the care for their loved one and open communication is the best place to start. She tries to make a stressful time is someone’s life a little less stressful and help to provide peace of mind.
Danyetta, “Danny” Baylor joined BrightStar in 2013. She has an AA degree in Spanish. She has ten year of experience in the medical field in office administration. She manages the recruiting of our caregivers and is our office receptionist. Danny enjoys meeting new Certified Nursing Assistants, CNAs. She is inspired when she hears one of our employees is a perfect match for a client. She really enjoys meeting all the new people and various backgrounds that make up the staff at BrightStar Healthcare of Baltimore City / County. Danny is a helper by nature so BrightStar is a good fit for her. She likes being part of a team that is committed to helping others. She is willing to take the extra step or go the extra mile.
