Our People
Our people are our greatest asset. From the full spectrum of adult homecare and elder care to childcare and more, the quality services we provide day in and day out would not be possible without the hard work and passion of our dedicated staff. Each member of our team embodies the core values of our business – compassion, integrity, family, excellence, trustworthiness, accountability, and diversity – and strives to make more possible for those in our care.
Lynn Berberich, Owner
Lynn is passionate about helping people remain in the comfort and familiarity of their own homes.
Lynn’s grandmother just passed away at the age of 107. She lived in her own home until she was 95. Lynn’s father had Lewy Body dementia, and lived at home with homecare assistance until he died at the age of 90. Her youngest brother died in his late 30s; but with the help of Hospice, he died at home surrounded by his wife, his three sons, and family members that loved him. This is the root of Lynn’s passion for helping people remain in the comfort of their own home.
Lynn spent more than twenty-five years as an executive in corporate America, “In my years in corporate America I knew something was missing. BrightStar has given me the opportunity I was looking for to help people and also provide a valuable service to the community.” She sees BrightStar as a tool to provide more time and more peace of mind for family members; more hope, more joy, more comfort and more quality care for patients; and more success, more quality and more pride in their work for her employees.
Continuing her strong commitment to lifelong learning and education, Lynn became a Certified Senior Advisor (CSA).

Jane loves meeting and caring for so many people, getting to know their families and pets as well. She loves working for BrightStar and, “making a difference in the recovery and life of many patients. Homecare is so rewarding. It reminds me daily why I became a nurse—I will never work anywhere else. “ Jane is known for warmth and connection with patients and based on the results she has achieved several doctors have called her, “the best nurse they have ever had care for their patients.” Case Managers know that if they give a case to Jane and her team they will get great results.
Debbie Hill, Customer Service and Sales
After working in Corporate Finance for 22 years, Debbie Hill decided to join the BrightStar team to begin focusing on helping others. Since March of 2004, she has been the primary (and only) caregiver for her mother who suffers from vascular dementia and extreme anxiety. Debbie says, “It’s been a journey, and I have learned a significant amount along the way. I would like to use this experience to assist others in their journey of care giving for a loved one.” Debbie has significant personal experience with various eldercare resources, including Assisted Living communities, behavioral health units, adult day centers, in-home care and geriatric care managers. She has learned what is important in choosing from all of these alternatives, and has found a perfect combination for her mom, using BrightStar for in-home care and an adult day center that provides socialization. “It took five years, but I finally figured it out, and my mom is now thriving. Mom has a quality of life again and I have peace of mind. My family and I can have our lives back too.” Debbie learned how important it is to have the right people caring for her mom, and joined the BrightStar team to help others in similar situations.
