Training new nurses requires quality educational programs and willing clinical programs. This article talks about the fact that patients are not always fully available in these clinical programs for nursing students to ‘train on”, so some of the more developed educational programs have started turning to innovative means of re-creating patient care experiences.

It is so great to see money following the recommendations of the Robert Woods Johnson Foundation (RWJF) on the development of nursing skills and education. And it’s even better to see that Illinois is one of the 37 states to have a program that is being funded by this campaign.
