The two plus years that Bright Star employee, Damani, spent giving assistance to my husband with Alzheimer’s was wonderful. He took over his daily medications, exercising, teeth brushing, shaving and preparing his lunch as well as keeping him from doing himself possible harm. He drove my husband to the dentist, the store, the barber and anywhere else using my car. He drove both of us places when I was lame with sciatic nerve pain. He was an excellent driver always following traffic rules and safe speeds. I trusted him completely and always felt safe with him. He worked 5 days a week for an 8 hour shift, always on time. In the two years he missed one day due to illness. I had to stop his service when my husband’s illness deteriorated to the point where I was going to need around the clock care. I have moved him to a memory care facility and miss Damani as a friend. I should add that Bright Star was always available to answer my questions and always willing to adjust Damani’s schedule as sometimes necessary. I recommend their service without hesitation. I honestly loved LOVED working here, they were nice and super understanding and also CARING you can’t find that now a days when your looking for employment sadly my no longer working here was due to personal problems on my end, I DO plan to go back lol but I would also like to say thank you to everyone who was always nice and understanding especially Marci and Edwin, I appreciate you guys wholeheartedly 🫶🏽

BrightStar of Birmingham has been a godsend to our family. Their caregivers assisted our father during his most challenging times -- after being discharged from the hospital, during the pandemic, and while he was under hospice care. BrightStar Care of Birmingham provided excellent service for our family as our loved one recovered from the COVID virus. The care givers were able to support physical therapy activity along with the basic care requirements. The administration staff are very helpful and friendly with the patients care the utmost priority. BrightStar provided the right care at the right time.
