Congratulations to Jennifer Rine, BSN, RN, the Director of Nursing for BrightStar Care of South West Fort Worth/Burleson, TX, and our 2017 National Nurse of the Year!
“Jennifer has been a mentor and coach to many new franchise Directors of Nursing (DON) and over 280 CNAs, RNs, LVNs, HHAs, and Caregivers, as well as having served for six years on the Texas Association of Home Health and Hospice and four years as a board member and committee leader,” said BrightStar Care of South West Fort Worth/Burleson owner, Andy Hussey. “She has served on numerous BrightStar Care Clinical Committees and remains the ‘go-to’ DON for all things Texas.”
In March, her team hosted a reveal event to surprise Jennifer with the news that she had earned the 2017 Nurse of the Year for the Southeast. Then, at BrightStar Care’s annual Branch Leadership Conference in April, while standing on stage beside the three other regional finalists, Jennifer was announced as the National winner.
BrightStar Care is proud to have a registered nurse create and oversee every client plan of care as part of our promise to deliver A Higher Standard of Home Care. Nurses are critical to the quality of care we offer our clients. Their tireless work and dedication to providing each client with a unique experience and the best possible care is why we created the BrightStar Care Nurse of the Year award, honoring nurses across the country for all they do.
“Among the BrightStar Care competitors in the private duty space, none has a Registered Nurse directly involved in the active oversight of all care and in the training and competency testing of our professional caregivers,” said Sharon Roth Maguire, MS, RN, GNP-BC, BrightStar Care Chief Clinical Quality Officer.
