Raoul Guerra – Partner | Agency Director | Alternate Administrator

When we set out to build a local business entirely dedicated to helping families and creating jobs, we found that home healthcare held the most promise. Of all the opportunities that were open to us, BrightStar was above and beyond any other. Their genuine desire to dramatically improve the quality of care offered to families in need stood out from the rest. They also provided the best opportunity for us to offer the widest range of services, including sitter/homemaker and companion services, transportation, skilled nursing and nursing assistants, staffing for all types of health facilities, and more.

As the Agency Director and Partner, I’m responsible for the day-to-day operations of BrightStar in Northwest Orlando. It might seem very different from my 24 years in the Information Technology field, but there are some important similarities. Most people and almost all businesses rely on computing technology to make their lives or businesses better. Likewise, the elderly and infirm rely on caregivers to enhance their daily lives and improve their ability to live in the privacy and comfort of their own home.

I’ve always enjoyed helping people, and with BrightStar, we have the opportunity to take those efforts to a whole new level. There’s nothing more rewarding than being an integral part of someone’s family and helping to comfort a family member in need. The icing on the cake is that we’re also creating meaningful job opportunities for the compassionate professionals who care for our clients.

Anne Burczyk – Office Manger | Branch Manager

Although relatively new to the home health care industry, I bring over 10 years of team building, program development and administrative experience. I enjoy seeing people of all ages better themselves, be it mind, body or soul. So when Raoul invited me to be a part of BrightStar, it was a match, as together we can make more possible for more people wherever they call home. I have been impressed with the whole package BrightStar offers, from business support to the most important facet, the client. The client’s needs matter most, and we work diligently to make more possible. I love serving those who serve those in need. It is a win-win for all.

Susan Priest – Reception | Administrative Assistant

I have over 20 years of experience as an Executive Secretary/Administrative Assistant. In addition, I have worked on transition issues for students and adults with disabilities for some 20 years.

During that time I was chair of an interagency council (local) and a council member for the Florida Rehabilitation Council (state), the partner to Vocational Rehabilitation.

I bring not only my past work experience, but also my volunteer experience working on behalf of students and adults with disabilities. I am pleased to be working with a great team of people at BrightStar as the first contact with our office and responding to the many needs of our office.

As a parent of a son with Muscular Dystrophy and many years of working with disability agencies and providers, I understand how important it is to meet the needs of our clients with the understanding and knowledge of someone going through health difficulties.

Alda Hendricks – RN

My passion is to make a difference in the lives of others. At BrightStar I am given the opportunity to make that difference every day, utilizing the experience and skills gained over 30 years of practicing nursing. I have a diverse background with international experience in emergency rooms, hospital settings, physician’s offices, home health and occupational health management. I believe that as nurses, being part of this great BrightStar team, we ARE making more possible.
