A Message from the Owners

We all reach “crossroads” moments in life where we have to make decisions that will greatly impact the rest of life, and we had one of those moments on April 22 of 2011. On that date we were offered a BrightStar franchise for my hometown in Bay County, and for 5 other surrounding counties in the great State of Florida. As the Chief Financial Officer for a division of a large refining company in the Pacific Northwest US, it seemed absolutely insane to contemplate giving up a secure and rewarding career for an exciting but uncertain adventure in a new industry. But, what we wanted more than anything was to move back home to Florida, to own our own business, and for that business to be something that would be a vehicle for serving our community in a profoundly positive way, and BrightStar clearly provided an opportunity to do all of those things. So, we made the leap into the unknown, and each day I am happier with the decision.

Why? BrightStar of Bay County works EVERY DAY to MAKE MORE POSSIBLE for all of our clients, from infants to seniors, and in all walks of life, and I am privileged to lead an organization that makes its purpose to do this, and to do it better each day, focusing on improving our clients’ lives, giving families more “peace of mind”, and being unwavering in our commitment to quality patient care and customer service.  Someone asked me recently what inspires me, and it is quite simple: my clients inspire me. Their stories, their experiences, their struggles, getting to be a part of their lives in a way that they are better off as a result—all of these things get me up early each morning, and frankly make it difficult to leave at the end of the day.
