Events

Community events make more possible for the people – more knowledge, more security, more joy. And there is no better indication of a thriving community than when the people can come together, for any reason or no reason at all. Whether it’s for recreation and just enjoying the company of others, community education or to promote health and wellbeing, local events that bring the people together are what strengthen a community from the inside out.

BrightStar of South Sarasota’s mission is to provide ongoing events highlighting the people we serve to promote, educate and enhance the communities of Sarasota, Venice, Englewood, North Port and Port Charlotte areas.

May 13-14th, 2011  Relay-for-Life
The Annual Venice Relay-for-Life was held at the Venice Airport grounds.  The event was incredible, hundreds turned out for this 18 hour gathering of survivors, friends, and families.  

Celebrity Bartender Event for Relay-for-Life held on April 14th at the Polo Grill & Bar in Lakewood Ranch. We are so pleased with your help we raised over $900 in 3 hours! Thank you so much!
