We are seeking a Director of Nursing/Branch Manager for an exciting, fast growing, premier medical staffing and home healthcare agency. We have aggressive growth plans and will share the rewards with you. We’re looking for a confident, assertive and energetic RN with a strong interest in both the clinical and administrative sides of nursing. In addition to traditional case management, this challenging supervisory position will have responsibility to provide quality client care and customer service. You will be provided administrative support to help you utilize your skills as efficiently as possible. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for clinical oversight of a BrightStar Healthcare agency office, staff recruitment, supervision of field staff, licensure compliance, and some general office management.
Manage ongoing client staffing process by:
Leading the field staff hiring effort. Post resumes on recruiting sites, screen candidates, conduct initial interviews, perform background, and check reference, credentials, and licensure.
“Building the Bench”: Use skill assessment tools to select the “best professionals”, build and maintain a database of RN, LPN, Certified Nursing Assistant, and other medical professional candidates, their skills and credentials.
Clinical supervision of field staff by:
Developing care plans that result medical assessments of patients with input from their families
Oversee the consistency and quality of care provided to our patients
Managing employee performance and customer approval ratings using customer satisfaction measurement tools. Provide performance feedback and complete employee reviews at regular intervals.
Oversee compliance with Pennsylvania state home care licensing requirements
Supervising and managing field staff and staffing schedules
Developing customer loyalty by delivering a superior customer experience.
Contributing to revenue and profit goals by converting prospects to clients on the phone, in the field, and by supporting of the field sales team
Developing networks in our community to increase referral of business to BrightStar, and to grow our business.
Resolving all escalated customer concerns
Understanding and being willing to meet the needs of a 24/7 business
Office Management and Administration, Including:
Use of computer systems to implement actions with pre-determined deadlines, including employee payroll, client billing, and paperless job application process
Active participation in business development planning activities
Assistance with collections of receivables
Qualifications:
Essential:
Seasoned clinical manager with 5+ years experience
Current New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) licensure
Passion for excellent customer service
Minimum 3 - 5 years experience in direct supervisory role where duties included scheduling and oversight of both exempt and non-exempt healthcare professionals
Strong recruiting, interviewing and hiring skills.
Ability to travel anywhere in Ocean and surrounding Counties on a daily basis
Moderate physical activity, occasional lifting up to 30 lbs., standing or walking for more than 4 hours per day.
Three or more years experience directly supervising both exempt and non-exempt employees
Demonstrated ability to organize, prioritize and manage work to meet challenging deadlines.
Strong interpersonal, telephone communications and listening skills. Team player with a positive outlook. Able to function as a lead while working as part of the team. Solid pro-active and re-active decision making skills.
Selling and winning attitude – able to market BrightStar services. Commitment to getting the job done.
A plus if you have:
Home health, homecare, hospice, skilled nursing facility experience
Computer literacy in a paperless environment, including experience using Microsoft Office Suite and on-line internet applications
Previous administrative experience
Experience working in a “start-up” environment
Medical recruiting and staffing experience
Strong network of prospective clients and referrals in the community.
Education:
RN; BSN preferred
