ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Take and records patient, vital signs, fluid intake and output. Provide daily bathing, dressing and feeding care. Assist with ADLs. Housekeeping. Responsible and compassionate interaction with patients to determine needs, assure assistance and improve daily life. Assist in care and feeding of infants. Manage supply inventory and supply requisitions. Observe Universal Precautions. Ability to follow written Nursing Care Plan. Provides patient transportation. Medication reminders. Assist with exercise regime. Meal planning and preparation with clean up .
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE Requires State of TN CNA certification and one year of experience. Home Care experience preferred. Current CPR training.
TECHNICAL SKILLS Requires computer knowledge and access for BrightStar scheduling. Familiarity with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field. COMMUNICATION SKILLS Ability to write routine reports and correspondence as required by BrightStar guidelines as well as the ability to respond professionally and appropriately on behalf of BrightStar.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Successful candidate must submit to post offer, pre-employment physical examination/medical history check, drug screening and background check. Required to obtain annual TB and rubella screening and CPR credential. Ability to safely lift, and physically manipulate patients. Work is normally performed in a typical home environment but also in hospitals, assisted living facilities, etc.
