Cyndy T Applegate, a resident of Charleston for over 30 years, acquired the franchise rights for BrightStar of Charleston in 2009. Cyndy knows personally the value of caregivers after her grandfather’s need for 24-hour home care. It is so critical to allow the client to live as independently as possible, but to do so with dignity in a safe environment. Cyndy’s focus is on Making More Possible for the client and family members, while providing exceptional service in filling the needs of those we serve.

At BrightStar of Charleston we understand the needs that arise while caring for a loved one. We understand when the family member and clients are exhausted and looking for solutions. We also understand that family members are not always available to be caregivers, as I have said to many families, “let us do the heavy lifting so you and your loved one have quality time together”.

In providing Geriatric Case Management we have access to senior resources throughout Charleston, Berkeley, and Dorchester Counties that can enhance the quality of life of a loved one. We have relationships with attorneys, trust departments, gerontologists, medical equipment companies, specialized transportation companies, handy man repair companies, cleaning companies, catering companies, etc. Using these resources we are able to provide comprehensive solutions to allow your loved ones to age in place or access additional care in senior communities.
