Our People
Our people are our greatest asset. From the full spectrum of adult homecare and elder care to childcare and more, the quality services we provide day in and day out would not be possible without the hard work and passion of our dedicated staff. Each member of our team embodies the core values of our business – compassion, integrity, family, excellence, trustworthiness, accountability, and diversity – and strives to make more possible for those in our care.
David Evans, Owner
David and his wife, Louise, became the proud owners of the BrightStar Marietta and Acworth offices in February 2011.
Prior to BrightStar, David worked in the insurance industry and Louise worked as a teacher. They are keen to be part of a company with a desire to help the local community. They’re proud to work with such a dedicated team that is focused on doing well for each other and the clients.
David and Louise are from The United Kingdom. They have been living in Georgia, enjoying the Southern experience, for the last eight years. They have three children, and when they are not working with BrightStar, they are trying to remain healthy and keep up with family members who all live far away.
Jennifer Viscente, Director of Nursing
Jennifer has been with BrightStar Marietta for two years. She spends her time working with our RN’s on some of our skilled nursing cases, supervising our caregivers and keeping us in line with Georgia State requirements. Jen. was born and raised in Florida where she completed her nursing qualifications and worked in hospitals. She moved to Georgia in 2009 and started to pursue a career in Homecare. She was delighted when BrightStar of Marietta were willing to give her a chance to develop her Home Nursing skills and also train her in the management role. She lives in the Georgia Mountains with her husband and two sons spending her spare time enjoying many outdoor pursuits such as hiking, fishing and gardening. When Jen hangs up her nurse’s uniform she hopes to have good long term care insurance so that she will be able to travel the world with a BrightStar Caregiver making more things possible.
Tia Dobler, Marketing and Sales Consultant
Tia spends her time traveling throughout the Marietta and Acworth Territories visiting hospitals, doctor’s offices, senior living facilities and other related locations building relationships and spreading the word about BrightStar and the wonderful service we provide. She has worked in the Senior Service Provider Industry for the last six years and resides in Marietta. She is the mother of two boys and when she is not working for BrightStar she enjoys painting, Gardening and playing golf. When she retires from this working life you will find her “where the mountains hit the sea”.
Lori Burton, Branch Manager
Lori is a new member of the BrightStar Marietta team joining the office in May of this year. Like Jen, she was delighted that BrightStar were willing to help and give her a chance to do a job that she felt she could do although her formal qualifications and resume were not an exact match. She has first -hand experience of looking after seniors in a home setting and she has previously worked as an ambulance dispatcher (this explains why she is so quick at filling in all those requests for care-givers). She lives way out in Paulding County with her husband, two daughters and three dogs. When she is not in the office she is either on a boat or a motorbike. She says she will never retire but will pass away at her desk in front of a master schedule with no open requirements.
