Our People
Our people are our greatest asset. From the full spectrum of adult homecare and elder care to childcare and more, the quality services we provide day in and day out would not be possible without the hard work and passion of our dedicated staff. Each member of our team embodies the core values of our business – compassion, integrity, family, excellence, trustworthiness, accountability, and diversity – and strives to make more possible for those in our care.
Edward Navales
Edward Navales, Owner and President, of the BrighStar Care – Antioch, Sacramento and Stockton office is a former management consultant who advised clients in the healthcare industry such as large insurance companies and medium to large physician groups. Mr. Navales’ corporate experience includes stints at IBM and most recently Accenture (formerly Arthur Anderson Consulting). In addition, Edward played an integral role as the general manager of a small contracting firm that grew from a meager 12 employees to over 300 in the span of 5 years. In summary, Edward has over 12 years of business management experiences in a variety of industries, but it’s most important to note that he has embarked on a journey to provide ‘quality’ healthcare services to friends, families and neighbors in the community where he lives. Edward does this with love, compassion and care for those who deserve nothing less.

Matthew Zuckerman
Just a little background about myself, I grew up in a small town in Northern California near Chico called Willows. After high school, I went to college at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo. I graduated with a degree in Marketing, Finance and a minor in Econ. After college, I moved to Sacramento for a few years and worked as a Financial Advisor for both E*Trade Financial and Merrill Lynch. I decided to move back to San Luis Obispo in 2007 and due to the failing financial market I changed up my career to the healthcare field with Maxim Healthcare. In 2009 I transferred to Vacaville to open up a new office for Maxim in Fairfield. In March of 2011, I left Maxim Healthcare to take on the Regional Recruiting Position with Brightstar. As for my personal life, I have 3 bothers, 2 older and one younger. My parents still live in Willows along with my oldest and youngest brother still living in Chico and my last brother living down in Santa Barbara. With family from Northern California to the Santa Barbara, I do travel a lot. Vacaville isn’t the most exciting place in the world so I do frequent Chico, Sacramento, Monterey, San Luis Obispo, Napa, and Santa Barbara. I do like to go out both during the weekend and the week and love every day of my life!
