Mesa BrightStar is a family affair for local owners Thom and Cyndi Moore. They are blessed with several relatives over the age of 80, including Thom’s grandmother, who just turned 107!

Intimate with the challenges faced by the elderly in our country, Thom and Cyndi felt a strong urge to get more involved with the greater community. They decided to invest their time and energy into providing peace of mind for other families with similar needs.

From childcare to elder care, the Mesa BrightStar team is available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our Director of Nursing will ensure that each client and family receives the highest level of care and service.

About the Owners

Thom and Cyndi Moore were looking for an exciting new opportunity that would give the family more time together, and BrightStar has certainly provided all this and much more.

Thom and Cyndi met in Kirkland, Washington, in 1987 and moved to Arizona in 2001, graduating from 150 days of sun per year to 300!

Cyndi was born in California and lived in Alaska and Washington before settling in Arizona. After college, she enjoyed a successful management career in the food and beverage industry, and she was running the best seafood place in Seattle when she met Thom.

Thom is a native of Green Bay, WI, and has a BA in psychology from St. Norbert College, just across the bridge from where he grew up. Thom spent the last 25 years involved with manufacturing and sales of home décor products around the world.

In 1999, they were blessed with a little girl named Mackenzie, who is the real CEO of their BrightStar franchise.

But with Thom traveling over 100,000 air miles per year for work, Mackenzie hardly saw her father. Although the traveling was not the only reason to stay home, it sure seemed like a great idea to everyone involved! The Moore’s feel blessed to serve right here in the local community, including Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert and the surrounding areas.

Thom heads up the sales team and Cyndi works with Director of Nursing Maria Strauch in the administration of the business.
