Our local BrightStar is independently owned and operated by Mechell Vieira, a San Luis Obispo County native and Cal Poly graduate.

Mechell’s love of medicine and science first led her to work as an EMT II for San Luis Ambulance. Throughout her professional career, she continued to broaden her knowledge and skills, and was recruited by GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals to launch a life-saving medication.

Mechell saw a compelling local need for a fresh new approach to home care, and bringing BrightStar to San Luis Obispo County has given her the opportunity to use all of her skills to serve our community. From infants to seniors, our compassionate, qualified, and capable homecare professionals are ready to provide the highest level of reliable care and service, any time, any place.
