Both Jim and Phyllis know first-hand how difficult it is when you’re geographically separated from or simply cannot find quality care for your loved ones. They will do everything possible to help their clients maintain their lifestyle and independence. Services are provided and a staff member is on call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Their Director of Nursing, Jo Ann Finlon, RN and Branch Manager, Kelly Lucid, CNA will both ensure that each client and family receive the highest level of care and service.

Our Story:

What do a senior retail executive and a seasoned registered nurse have in common? Twenty-six years of marriage, three children, two pugs and a desire to help people in our community! After extensive research of the home healthcare industry, BrightStar provided a model of our ideal business: local ownership and the powerful resources of a rapidly growing franchise with over 100 locations nationwide. We knew we could blend our skill sets to offer quality care to families and facilities throughout the Oak Brook / Southeast DuPage area.

Our Administrative Staff:

Director of Nursing Jo Ann Finlon, RN has over 25 years nursing experience in hospital and home healthcare. Jo Ann personally assesses each case, determines a plan of care and provides ongoing case management. She also provides clinical direction and oversees our hiring process.

Branch Manager Kelly Lucid, CNA has over 15 years of experience in home healthcare. Kelly runs our office and is responsible for scheduling coordination, hiring, credentialing and billing.

Director of Sales Sarah Wubbolding has over 15 years sales and marketing experience and most recently was responsible for marketing at a home health company. Sarah is the liaison to the communities we serve.

Our Caregivers:

Our caregivers are carefully screened by our staff to ensure they are experienced and meet our rigorous hiring standards. Each new hire is credentialed through online testing, in-depth face-to-face interviews, reference checks, drug tests and background checks. Our caregivers are also safety-trained and certified by the Fall Prevention Clinics of America. Every employee is bonded and insured.

Each month we recognize and reward a Caregiver of the Month to honor them for excellence in care and their passion for this labor of love. We are proud of our field staff and hold them in the highest regard. Nothing is more important than the quality of care they provide each and every day.
