Dan Morlan | Director Of Operations
I started with BrightStar Care in September, 2011. I have over 17 years of healthcare recruitment, staffing, sales and management experience. I have previously worked as a Senior Branch Director for a large healthcare agency as well as a Director of Corporate Recruiting/HR for a management company that owns and operates skilled nursing facilities. I developed a 4 Million dollar office into a 12 Million Dollar office making it a Top 5 National Branch. I look forward to helping take BrightStar to the next level.
I love the challenge of fitting the pieces together when it comes to staffing our clients. I deliver five star customer service night and day and thrive at the opportunity to help families. I enjoy being able to help a family take the next steps in creating quality care in the home. Working for BrightStar gives me a sense of satisfaction, knowing that I am able to “make more possible.”
I am making more possible each day by being an advocate for families to find the best possible solutions. I continually educate myself on new resources available within the community and how BrightStar can partner to utilize these resources for various families in need. Seniors inspire me every day and I am fortunate to have the opportunity to make a difference.
Christy McLean| Customer Care Manager
I joined BrightStar Care in October 2016 as the Customer Care Manager. I come to this position with 6 years of management experience and over 10 years of customer service experience. I know the importance of managing a great team to provide the best customer service that we can offer not only to our client but also to their family.
I chose to come into healthcare after seeing how caregivers can care for a loved one when you might not be able to. I have seen firsthand how much it does help to have someone comfort a loved one when you are unable to do to life situations. I also know the importance of keeping someone in their home or in comfortable surroundings. My goal is to make sure I can do what I can to get the right fit for a loved one needing care.
Vanessa McCarten | Customer Care Manager
I joined BrightStar Care in February 2017. My background is quite diverse and includes positions of increased responsibility and complexity in employee relations, health care and Occupational Therapy. BrightStar captured my interest due to its incredible rate of growth and because I share the company’s dedication to making a positive impact on people’s lives.
I earned a bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy in 2012 which has helped me understand the importance of adopting a holistic` and compassionate approach in every position I’ve held. As a Sensory Motor Coach and Program Coordinator I worked one on one with special needs children and young adults to help enhance their coping mechanisms and to increase their quality of life. I continued to develop my skill set by taking a position as an Account Manager in a privately-owned company expanding my experience in business and staffing operations while processing payroll and managing accounts for a diverse portfolio of clients including Fortune 500 companies.
One of the reasons I have always been attracted to the medical field is that I was blessed with a sibling who has special abilities and needs. This inspired my educational choice as well as the career path I have chosen. It was a truly awe inspiring experience witnessing the positive effects that well trained and caring professionals had on my brother’s life and development. It is both professionally and personally rewarding to be part of the BrightStar team and to be providing world class quality care to our clients.
Reggie Miller| HR Recruiter
I joined BrightStar Care of Gurnee in December 2015 as the HR Recruiter. I have just over 11 years of experience in recruitment and sales and have been fortunate to meet and work with some great people along the way. Most recently I worked in the Greater Milwaukee Area, operating in the IT and Engineering Space in a full-desk capacity which included prospecting, recruiting, account acquisition and maintenance, as well as contract negotiation. In the preceding 7 years my roles were spread out between branch management, sales, educational recruitment and training.
Over the last 11 years I’ve been able to work in several different industry verticals, acquiring many skills I bring with me to BrightStar Care. I joined BrightStar in hopes of joining an organization that services some of the most vulnerable in our community. Since being here I have been blessed to be part of a tremendous team and a company that is greatly impacting lives for the better.
Brittany Hullum-Pettis, RN, BSN, MBA| Director of Nursing
Jaclyn Webster, RN BSN | Assistant Director of Nursing
I joined BrightStar in June of 2015. I have over 30 years of proven sales experience. My achievements have allowed me to travel a career path that quickly grew from a Territory Salesman to positions where I was leading companies to record sales. I worked for Abbot Laboratories, Allscripts Healthcare Solutions and Wonderlic, Inc.
Whether designing new relationships with Executive Directors and Administrators, providing educational opportunities to the community, or meeting in the home to provide support at a time when families are in desperate need, I believe my success is a direct result of my commitment to developing open, honest and lasting relationships.
