With a current staff of 100 plus employees consisting of Licensed RN’s, RN-Case Manager’s, Certified LVN’s, Certified CNA’s, Home Health Aides, Care Giver’s and Live-ins; our staff undergo one of the most stringent and comprehensive screening processes in the Home Care Industry. We conduct extensive employee and nationwide background, criminal, drug and reference checks.  All are BrightStar employees (not independent contractors) and are general/professional liability insured, bonded and are also covered by workers compensation.  BrightStar is one of the few Home Care Agencies that hire only Licensed Certified CNA’s and require all staff to have current CPR and First Aide Certification.

Our staff is all dedicated, trained, experienced with most of them continuing their education, professional development and careers in the medical field.  Additionally, BrightStar offers a diverse and comprehensive training program covering a wide variety of medical conditions, healthcare topics and care giving related issues affecting today’s constantly changing healthcare environment. Each BrightStar Care Team Member is trained in patient privacy, Dementia and Alzheimer’s Care.

Ardy Azhir, Owner/President

Ardy Azhir, Owner, President BrightStar Huntington Beach, Cypress. Previously, he was president of operations for a Fortune 100 company when his mother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. Ardy looked for help, but finding qualified, professional caregivers proved to be a monumental challenge. It made him realize the importance of quality care and the critical need for it in his own community.  Before long, Ardy resolved to commit himself to fulfilling this need and established his own business, and Huntington Beach BrightStar was born providing a full continuum of home care, childcare staffing and support services for individuals, families and healthcare facilities.

Colleen Cornick, RN, BSN, PHN, RTC, our Director of Patient Care Services has had 30+ years experience in a variety of settings including being an active nursing instructor.

Michelle Spitaleri, RN, BSN, PHN, our Field Nurse Case Manager with 30+ years experience in a variety of settings including pediatric, and Public Health for Behavioral Health.

Julie Webb, Staffing Coordinator

Julie Webb our Staffing Coordinator joined our team early 2010 and brings a diversity of knowledge and skills acquired from her various clinical & management roles throughout her healthcare career.

Chloe Jones, Branch Manager

Chloe Jones, our Branch Manager and Director of Operations, has been with our office since its beginnings in March of 2009 and has 8+ years of experience in Healthcare Administration including PT,OT, Infusion Therapy, Home Health and Medicare HMO.
