Tom and I know, first hand, the struggle to find reliable, compassionate in home care. My mother, who had always been healthy, had a sudden health problem that required us to move her from her home in Georgia to South Carolina. Not knowing exactly what level of care she needed on an ongoing basis, I started calling area assisted living and home care agencies. My panic quickly turned to frustration. I couldn’t get people to call me back. Those I did speak with simply read their “menu of services” and prices, never asking me my mom’s name or why she was in the hospital. No one asked how I was doing either. The ultimate for me however, was finally reaching a lady at an assisted living facility after leaving three unreturned messages. She said, “Oh yeah, I could hear the panic in your voice, but we’re at capacity and I knew there was nothing I could do for you, so I just didn’t call you back.”

Compelled by the desire to make a difference by enhancing the quality of life for families, Tom and I proudly brought BrightStar to Lexington and the surrounding areas.
