I saw Rachael on March 22, 2024, who took me to the hospital for a colonoscopy. She was considerate, prompt, had excellent people skills, and very competent. When my procedure was completed and I was ready to be discharged, Rachael was there immediately. I would also like to commend Lisa Miller who did a stellar job in setting up everything. I would definitely recommend Brightstar Care if you need to be transported to a hospital and don't have any friends/family nearby who can assist you.

We had a sudden need for 24/7 services for a relative (we live out of town). Upon her discharge from the hospital, with little notice BrightStar of Marietta got us the home care support we needed within a few hours. This brought us and relative peace of mind as well. Most of our dealings have been with the nursing director Linda, who has been both compassionate and responsive. The caregivers who arrived yesterday with little notice provided excellent care and service. We are very happy to have BrightStar on our team.

I have worked in healthcare for many years and recently moved to Marietta and began working with BrightStar. In all my years working in healthcare I have never felt so welcomed by an organization to the extent that I feel working for BrightStar. From the transition of my move to the training for my job, David, Louise and the rest of the office staff have always gone above and beyond. I have worked for Brightstar Care of Marietta for almost 5 years. I started out working in the field on a variety of assignments and have worked myself up to a case management position. I have enjoyed the interaction that I have/had with all of our clients. It is very rewarding to help those in need so that they can live happier, healthier lives. I want to take this time to give credit to a great and caring group of people that have a very tough job to do. My father-in-law required around the clock care for months before we finally decided to go with an agency choosing BrightStar to fill the need. As a registered nurse, I had very high standards I expected to have met and was quite specific as to Dad's care. My husband and I found the owners and staff to be professional and compassionate from our first meeting. It was not a particularly easy transition as there was resistance from outsiders who felt my husband and I were using his funds in a frivolous manner. Dad had only asked that he be allowed to remain in his home as the time drew closer that he could no longer be left alone even for short periods of time. We promised him that we would be sure he was not moved to a facility where he knew no one and was totally unfamiliar with his surroundings. I have to say that the very first caregiver I met the very first day was a gentleman that made me know that no matter what others thought about having an agency in our home we had made the right choice. In a very short time we had a full BrightStar staff and ones that committed to staying with Dad until the end. We had events planned for him that took a lot of work and coordination and never once did we hear a complaint but rather requests from the caregivers to participate. We had times of fun and play as well, and with each of these events we looked for his caregivers as they had become part of the family...and he loved and depended on them. As time went on and Dad deteriorated requiring hospice, I was most impressed with the level of knowledge and compassion of all involved in his care. The BrightStar caregivers and supervising nurse worked closely with the hospice staff to be sure my husband and I were kept aware of every passing hour and Dad's pain level at any given moment. I will never forget Jennifer, the nursing supervisor, calling me after one of her morning visits to tell me Dad's pain medication did not seem to be holding him. She offered and did make special trips during her busy day to help my husband and me take turns going to be at his side and administer the needed medication to keep him comfortable. This went on for weeks. She never had to go back, but she did. She will never know how much this helped us in fulfilling our promise to keep him in his home. If all involved had not been so willing to go above and beyond the call of duty, Dad surely would have ended up in a skilled facility just to keep him medicated if nothing else. I felt like our wishes were absolutely respected and followed and for that I will always be grateful. It is so important when you have others caring for your loved ones that you feel you are still "in the loop" and your opinions heard. I also have to bring up that in almost one year of the 24 hour/7 day a week care provided there was not even one missed shift. For those who have experienced the frustration of call ins and missed tours you know why I bring this up! I was so thankful that even on the holidays I did not get that last minute call that there was no one available leaving the responsibility of filling the shift to Bill and me. The office staff communicated with us regularly and I always knew who was scheduled and when they would be there...and they were just as I was told. I hope this helps anyone considering BrightStar Care in Marietta. I have been a nurse for over 30 years and I truly believe you cannot go wrong with this office. If you do have a concern, talk to the owners! They are genuine and have proven this to my husband and me on so many levels!
