Local owners Fred and Paula Stefany truly understand Newport Beach and Irvine residents, having spent their last 15 years living in the community, coaching AYSO soccer and attending Newport Unified School meetings.  As residents of a senior focused community, we personally understand the anxiety families feel when a loved one needs care. We’ve been there. We understand what you’re going through. We opened our doors solely so you can sleep well and not go through what we went through with our relatives. We look forward to bringing to you the high level of dedication and commitment in caregiving that is the hallmark of BrightStar.

From childcare to elder care, our Newport Beach BrightStar team is available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Carrie Moore, our Director of Nursing, ensures that each client and family receives the highest level of care and service throughout Newport Beach and Irvine. All client cases are constantly reviewed by our staff to be sure that your needs are fully met. We take the time to make sure that the total well-being of each patient is fully considered at all time and that family members are apprised of their loved one’s situation and progress. Our level of care is also monitored through an independent survey company, so we can always receive quality feedback from our customers regarding satisfaction with our services.

About Us

Local owners Paula and Fred Stefany have always been a part of the OC community. Fred has served on the Children’s Hospital of Orange County Padrinos Board of Directors and he is now the chair elect of the American Diabetes Association of Orange County.  Paula is on the Board of Directors for the Jasmine Creek HOA, which is a senior friendly neighborhood.

A Message from the Owners

After I turned 40, I decided I wanted to do something that really meant something to me. I liked my work, but BrightStar gave Paula and I an ideal opportunity to help people through some of life’s most difficult challenges, challenges we understood ourselves.

After the birth of our second child, Paula was discharged in three days, even though she could not sit up, let alone take care of a newborn and a three-year-old. BrightStar could have helped.

My Grandma Hazel wanted to stay in independent living, but she wasn’t able to do so on her own. BrightStar could have helped.
