Susan’s inspiration for BrightStar came from her own family experiences while caring for her mother with Parkinson and her husband as he battled and survived cancer.  During that time, she became acutely aware of the value of compassionate quality care, the importance for loved ones to stay as independent as possible with dignity and the highest level of consistent personal and customized homecare to meet their unique needs.  With the support of her husband Arnold and daughter Jill, Susan established BrightStar here in the Low Country in 2006.

Susan’s emphasis is on Making More Possible for the client and the family.   BrightStar believes in providing peace of mind, caring for the whole person, understanding daily routines and individual needs while enhancing overall quality of life.  We understand the necessity for exceptional home healthcare and we also understand how challenging, overwhelming and exhausting it can be to the client and family.  The BrightStar Team, consisting of caregivers, certified nursing assistants, license practical nurses, registered nurses and medical social workers all with the highest  levels of skills and competencies, is here for you to provide exceptional care for a one hour visit to 24 hours 7 days a week, anytime and anyplace.

BrightStar understand that life changes and we are flexible and reliable in meeting those changes.  We guarantee the compatibility of the client with the caregiver as we know that the client not only needs skilled and competent care but also needs to “like” the caregiver.  It is personal!  Furthermore, we are a resource to you regarding community services and alternative funding opportunities.
