Owners Herb Ronde and Laura Ripans understand first hand the stress and anxiety families face when a loved one needs care. “Laura’s mother passed away in 2002 from cancer,” Herb says. “We had some excellent caregivers who lived nearby and made all the difference in the last few weeks of her life.”

A supervising Nurse  Manager ensures that each client and family receives the highest level of care and service.

BrightStar Southern Essex County has covered a lot of ground in the past year, the most recent success being the accreditation we received from The Joint Commission.

The accrediting agencies define and advance the highest levels of community-based care.

We felt it was important to submit ourselves to inspection by these accrediting bodies to ensure we were, and will continue to provide the best possible service and are constantly focused on improving.

About the Owners

A native of South Africa, Herb Ronde began his executive career in the UK with IMS Health and then Dun & Bradstreet, who brought him to New Jersey in 2001. He has extensive experience in improving customer care and satisfaction, and he empowers our team to live these values and deliver the compassionate, dignified service every patient deserves.

Laura Ripans holds an MBA and has spent over 20 years in the information technology industry, most of those with IBM. Laura specializes in developing and delivering increased value for the families and businesses we serve in southern Essex County.
