About the Owners of BrightStar Lake Forest

BrightStar is a continuation of the passion for excellence that Phyllis and Larry Straight have demonstrated in the power industry around the world for more than 20 years.

Phyllis comes from a family of nurses and watched her mother work in Hospice for years; then finally receiving hospice care herself.  As long distance caregiver of Larry’s father, Phyllis understands the frustration of managing care when you can’t be there every day.

Zachariah, their son, having been diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in 1999, has seen healthcare from the patient perspective.  When Zach moved to the Midwest in 2007 to be closer to his grandfather who was in a nursing home, he watched his grandpa and his Uncle Al deal with physical issues and Alzheimer’s disease, bringing him face to face with the realities of finding quality care.

Stephanie, Zach’s wife, has a degree in Sports Medicine and Athletic Training.  She has worked in the medical field since 2000, and assisted in the rehabilitation of her grandmother who suffered from a stroke in 2006.

Phyllis, Larry, Zach, and Stephanie all have a heart to serve people.  They care about serving families, covenant relationships, and making certain that everyone who comes in contact with BrightStar of Lake Forest gets the most excellent care available.  “We only hire nurses, CNA’s, and caregiver’s that we would trust caring for our own family.”
