BrightStar of Valparaiso is truly a family run effort as both of Rick’s daughters, Veronica and Valerie, serve as our Director of Nursing and his wife Myndi, provides great service in the office.  Mike’s wonderful daughters will become a direct part of our office as they complete their education.

The Valparaiso BrightStar team is available to you 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Our Nurse Manager will ensure that each client and family receives the highest level of care and service.

Services Provided

 KidCare

Companion Care: Around the clock in hospital companionship, care and support for multiples, Employee Sponsored childcare, newborn care, transportation to activities.

Personal Care:  Bath visits, dressing, grooming, outpatient pre and post op assistance, personal and oral hygiene, toileting.

Skilled Care:  High tech pediatric nursing care, blood sugar testing, exercise management, home infusion therapy hospice assistance, in home blood draws and injections, medication reminders, nursing, special needs children vital signs, wound care.

LifeCare

Companion Care:  Respite and family relief, assistance with hobbies and pastimes, care for those whose condition compromises their ability to stay alone.

Home Support:  Laundry, grocery shopping, meal preparation and light housekeeping.

Outside Support:  Transportation, shopping and errands, escort to appointments, outpatient preparation and follow up care.

Personal Care:  Bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, outpatient pre and post op assistance, transferring, positioning and ambulation.

Skilled Care:  In home blood draws and injections, high tech nursing, medication management, home infusion therapy, hospice assistance, physical, occupational and speech therapy, medication reminders, set up, administration.

Staffing Categories:  Contract, temporary, permanent placement, regular or supplemental staffing.
