Certified Senior Adviser and Owner
In 2013, after 25 years in the corporate business world, Shannon Klemann, certified senior advisor and owner, decided to take her career in a different direction – and her grandma served as inspiration.
Grandma Marie was adamant about staying in her home of 40 years, and after she passed, Shannon felt called to join an industry that helps people thrive in their own homes.
Add to that the ability to create local jobs, contribute to the community and meet a growing need -- and the next step was obvious. Open a local BrightStar Care agency in Burnsville.
Shannon is truly honored to work with a wonderful team and deliver the highest quality of care. “We will never bring anyone into your home that we wouldn’t bring into our own,” says Shannon, “and I’m so excited to have a job that I’m passionate about!”
Shannon earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration from the University of Phoenix, and completed the Business Food Industry Executive Program at the USC Marshall School of Business.
Director of Nursing
"Shira Granote, RN, PHN, FCN Director of Nursing. Since I was fifteen years old and I was first allowed to get a job, I have been working in homecare. I started as a personal care assistant for autistic children, than a certified nurse’s aid, followed by running my own business as a respite care provider for children with special health care needs. Since then, I have worked as a hospice nurse, with teen moms and newborns as a public health nurse, a nurse case manager for adults and the elderly, director of nursing for an assisted living facility, camp nurse for fifteen years, and a Parish Nurse."
Outreach & Marketing Manager
"A few years ago, I decided to take my sale career in a different direction. My focus was to find a sales position where I was doing something beneficial to people or to organizations. After, years working with churches to help them enhance their ministries with first rate periodicals, and fund raising, I came to BrightStar Care. My job is to bring word of the amazing work this company and this franchise does to keep seniors in their home. It is a wonderful experience working with great people from other Senior Care providers, who are just as dedicated as we here at BrightStar Care."
Customer Care Manager
My Name is Christopher Ryan "Chris" I have been with BrightStar Care for almost a year.
I was first a staff member and now as Customer Care Manager.
I started my career in healthcare over 15 years ago working as a CNA.
I worked both in Nursing Homes and assisted care facilities.
After graduating as an LPN I worked at the V.A. for 8 years. After that I was the lead staff nurse for assisted living facility in Burnsville before coming to BrightStar Care.
I use these experiences when hiring staff to care for our clients.
I work to match our clients with the staff that will best serve their needs.
I also consider if I would trust a staff person to care for my parents especial when I am looking to hiring.
I continue to work with both our staff, clients and families to offer the finest service.
This is both my personal goal and the goal of BrightStar Care.
Customer Care Supervisor
"Working for BrightStar Care is a privilege and I appreciate each day. As Customer Care Supervisor, I have the opportunity to select caregivers whom I believe share my passion for serving others and who selflessly give their best to our clients. I enjoy the challenge of and take pleasure in finding a “love connection” between caregiver and client as I assign shifts each day. I view my role as one of serving both the caregivers and our clients. I am committed to encouraging and affirming our caregivers in the hope of creating a positive work environment that will ultimately be of benefit to our clients. I also work directly with many clients as a caregiver and view myself as part of the “team”. Working for BrightStar Care is a fulfilling and rewarding experience!"
