Hi, I’m Valeria HR/Recruiter at BrightStar Care of Carmel Valley & Rancho Santa Fe. My job duty is to find and attract qualified applicants for open positions we have. I review resumes, focusing on skills matching up best to the requirements at hand as well as interviewing candidates to make sure they are BrightStar material and will be a good fit for our clients. How long have you been a nurse?

I have been a Registered Nurse for over 15 years with experience in a wide variety of disciplines. I am passionate about my career and patients.

What expertise and experience do you bring to BrightStar Care?

I have been in a nurse in a wide variety of disciplines ranging from the intensive care unit to managing a home health care agency. I have expert clinical and assessment skills due to my strong critical care background. I have successfully leveraged my clinical experiences to lead clinical teams. I am enthusiastic and confident in managing our great caregivers and nurses to successfully care for each client as an individual and with care and respect.

What part of your job are you most passionate about?

I am most passionate about quality of care. I don't believe in just any one person can do a job. I am a strong believer in providing quality caregivers and service. It is our duty to provide a caregiver that not only is compatible with client personal needs but is also respectful of the vulnerable position our clients are in when having someone come into their home.

What are three unique strengths you bring to BrightStar Care?

1. Clinical Skills: I have many high level clinical skills which is an asset in developing and providing training for our staff.
2. Customer Service: I tailor care and services to meet each individual client needs. I know that not every client is the same and I strive to find the perfect fit with caregivers and clients as well as develop a plan of care that is personalized to each client.
3. Training: I take pride in knowing that we provide quality well-trained caregivers and that when there are issues it is addressed immediately with additional training if needed.
