Steve and Alexis Hailey | Owners
As a Navy Officer, Steve spent 10 plus years as a healthcare executive managing several hospital departments and out-patient clinics. One of his favorite assignments was serving as a healthcare executive at Bethesda Naval Hospital. His primary responsibility was to manage the healthcare needs of the White House First and Second Families, Congressional members, and Secretaries of States. Most recently, he just sold his interest in a successful and reputable independent insurance agency he began sixteen years prior.
Alexis has BA and MA degrees in Education from the University of Arkansas. She spent 8 years as a special education teacher in the public-school system where she taught students aged 12-19 with moderate to severe cognitive and physical disabilities. Alexis has been recognized with several outstanding achievement awards as a Special Education Teacher. Alexis also enjoyed her role as a sought-after consultant for developing in-home plans of care for people with disabilities.
Steve and Alexis are local and active owners in the business. They have experience managing care and support for immediate family members affected by diabetes, blindness, special needs, kidney dialysis, rheumatoid arthritis and Dementia/Alzheimer’s. Steve has three adult children: Steven Jr., Jason, and a special needs adult named Andy who is 23 years old and requires full time assistance. Together, Steve and Alexis have a four-year-old son named Jack, and two spoiled rescue dogs named Rosie and Ladybird.

Tracy Jacobs, , MBA, CNA II | Customer Care Manager
Tracy Jacobs is BrightStar Care of Cary’s Customer Care Manager/Coordinator and is also proudly a Certified Nursing Assistant II, herself. She holds her MBA (Masters of Business Administration) and has worked in home care since the late 90s. Prior to joining BrightStar Care of Cary, Tracy worked in “Corporate America” where she has implemented policy and procedures, training programs and managed large teams. Tracy is passionate about client care and believes that home care, and taking care of those who can’t take care of themselves, is where she wants to focus her time and efforts. She brings exceptional customer service to our clients and is committed to ensuring every client receives the best care possible. On many occasions, Tracy has been known to roll up her sleeves and jump into “hands-on client care” if needed. Our clients love Tracy and you will too!
