New Heart and Vascular Care at Atrium’s $115 Million Building near Charlotte
Atrium Health will open its new $115.2-million heart health building this August.
The new building at Carolinas HealthCare System NorthEast location in Concord will serve heart and vascular patients, putting heart and radiology care in the same wing of the hospital campus.
“The company said the 163,000-square-foot building is designed to increase efficiency in treating patients – to make sure it’s as easy as possible to get patients where they need to be. The tower will also house Atrium Health’s Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute.”

For a safe return home from the hospital following treatment, BrightStar Care® of Charlotte offers services and expertise to help cardiovascular patients. We help patients make a safe and healthy recovery at home after hospitalization, and lower the likelihood of a return trip to the hospital. Leaving the hospital after radiology or surgery can sometimes lead to critical health and social problems for individuals, but in many cases this can be prevented. Professionally delivered care can help reduce undesirable outcomes like re-hospitalization, medication errors, and falls, and it may even reduce long-term healthcare costs by helping to prevent the worsening of health conditions. BrightStar Care’s transitional care service provides aid to patients in their home following hospitalization or a stay in a rehabilitation center. We use an RN-led, team-oriented approach to optimize health and well being, and to reduce the likelihood of hospital readmission.
