Rick Collett - Owner/President
A life-long resident of the Chattanooga area and graduate of The McCallie School and Furman University, Rick has been groomed for a career in healthcare. After suffering a traumatic auto accident in 1991that caused him to undergo 15 surgeries, he knows firsthand the importance and benefits of quality in-home care. As Owner and President of BrightStar Care® of Chattanooga, Rick is simply an expert in hospital and healthcare operations and even has the title to prove it. As a Caldwell Butler and Associates Lean Six Sigma Expert with over twenty years of experience in hospital and healthcare operations and even consulting some of the most prestigious hospitals in the nation, his passion and knowledge of operating a business in healthcare are more than apparent. His expertise from his schooling and past experience, continue to position BrightStar Care® of Chattanooga as the area’s premier provider of home care and medical staffing. Rick can always be found near a golf course, spending time with his kids and trusted companion, Charlie – our company mascot.
Deborah Lofton - Branch Manager
After a ten year career as a computer programmer analyst in Mississippi, Deborah made the move with her family to Chattanooga, Tennessee where she pursued a new career path in sales as a medical sales representative. She transitioned into a marketing position with a senior healthcare provider where she worked for more than eight years. With an attention to detail and a love for the numbers, Deborah is the perfect fit as our BrightStar Care® Branch Manager. She leads, manages, and holds all of our staff accountable to ensure that we deliver consistent, safe, compassionate, and high-quality care to every client. With her recently earned Master’s Degree in Health Administration, she is excited to continue to implement her knowledge on the operational side of the healthcare industry. An avid college football fan, Deborah can be found spending time with her family and friends, and proudly ringing her cowbell at every Mississippi State football home game.
Suzanne Ruckman - Director of Nursing
Suzanne received her nursing degree from Baton Rouge General School of Nursing. She has been a Registered Nurse for more than twenty years and has worked in surgery, oncology, hospice, private duty nursing, pain management, and assisted living. As the Director of Nursing for Bright Care® of Chattanooga, Suzanne is responsible for the overall direction of our home health clinical services, and the quality of the services we provide. Her excitement and passion for providing the highest quality of care to our community is more than apparent as she establishes the best care for our clients and addresses that care through the implementation of our Plan of Care and supervisory process. Suzanne’s passion for working with the elderly and children is simply contagious. There is no one more qualified and no one better at their job.
Stacy Montgomery - Sales and Business Development Manager
Stacy has been a Registered Nurse for over 24 years with 2 years as a certified chemotherapy nurse and 22 years in skilled home healthcare. She has a true passion for helping people, and she has enjoyed transitioning from caregiver to care matchmaker. Stacy spends her days in our community promoting the BrightStar Care® brand, cultivating our business partnerships, meeting new people, and sharing how we can help potential future clients. She enjoys being a part of the BrightStar Care® of Chattanooga family because it allows her to continue making a difference in people’s lives. Outside of the office, she resides in Cleveland, TN, where she was born and raised. She enjoys cooking, travelling, and spending time with family and friends, especially her son, Chase, who is a business major at Lee University.
Heather Wagner - Scheduling Coordinator
With an eagle eye for detail and superior organizational skills, Heather keeps our caregiver schedule running smoothly each day. Her past experience in office management and customer service makes juggling everyone’s schedule look easy, but we know it can be everything but. Heather strives to ensure the compatibility between our clients and caregivers are a perfect match with her main focus being on the client’s satisfaction. One of her favorite aspects of BrightStar Care® team is that everyone has the same goal of putting customer service at the forefront of everything they do. Born and raised in Dayton, TN, Heather enjoys camping, spending quality time with family, and watching her children play sports.
Bridget Walker – HR Generalist
A native of the southeast, Bridget was born in Natchez, Mississippi and moved to Chattanooga in 1985. She graduated high school at Gordon Lee, and went on to study nursing at Northwestern College. Initially working as a scheduling coordinator for area surgeons and specialists, she comes to BrightStar Care® of Chattanooga with over 20 years of local healthcare experience and excels with accounts receivable and scheduling. There is not a problem to tough for her to handle, and she does so with ease. Friendly, outgoing, approachable, and possessing a passion for people, Bridget is a true bright star on our team. She loves spending time with her husband, four kids, and two dogs, and when not working can be found at the beach, shopping for shoes, jamming to 80’s music or watching her kids play sports.
Barbara Stansfield – Customer Care Manager
Born and raised in Chattanooga, Barbara brings an enormous amount of business experience to BrightStar Care® of Chattanooga. She attended UT Knoxville where she studied business administration and afterwards immediately put her schooling to practice. She and her husband have owned and operated several private businesses in the area for more than forty years. Barbara has been with us since the very beginning, and is a true asset to our team. As our Customer Care Manager, she simply makes sure that our customers are 100% satisfied. With a positive attitude and can do spirit, she consistently delivers a level of service that makes more possible and creates a higher standard of care for our customers and their families. With a husband, two children, and two grand dogs, Barbara loves her family and enjoys her down time outdoors with gardening, hiking, and reading.
