How long have you been a Nurse?

I have been a nurse for 40+ years. I obtained an ASN for Georgia Southwestern, Americus GA in 1969. In 1978 I went back to Medical College of Georgia, Augusta GA for my BSN.

What experience do you bring to BrightStar Care®?

I have been blessed with a wonderful career in nursing. I have worked in Med/Surg, Neuro ICU, ICU, and ER both in staff and management positions. I managed a free-standing Minor Emergency Center for 10.5 years where we treated all age groups. Several years working in business management arena allows me to have a good understanding of not just the clinical aspect of BrightStar but also be a support for the business management of our office. The last 9 years prior to arriving at BrightStar I worked in management roles with Home Care and Home Health companies.

What aspect of your job are you most passionate about?

I am most passionate about Quality patient care. Each person should be treated with respect and dignity and we must be supportive of the family as they deal with the health issues of the family member. Exceptional Customer Service is a main goal. Our customers are the patients and patient family/caregivers, our employees who provide this worthwhile service and our referral sources who trust us to deliver exceptional care.
