Thank you to our Social Workers in Conejo Valley!

Happy Social Workers Month!

Social workers are essential to our community's well-being, and we honor them by sharing their stories.

This month is 2021 Social Work Month, a time to celebrate the great profession of social work.

The purpose of Social Work Month is to inform the public, policymakers, and legislators about the way social workers "each day meet people where they are and help them live to their fullest potential."

One way to observe Social Work Month is to learn more about this essential profession and its contributions to our community.

During Social Work Month, to help support the profession, we encourage you to view the TED Talk of expert Dr. Anna Scheyett, Dean of the College of Social Work at USC. She describes how social workers serve their communities in the video below.

Dr. Scheyett's research examines community integration of vulnerable populations, including people with serious mental illnesses, HIV, and those involved in the criminal justice system. Dr. Scheyett shares the profession's many positive contributions to our community.
