Learn How to Raise Funds and Awareness in Cumming / Gainesville to support Alzheimer's

The Longest Day is all about love.

Love for all those affected by Alzheimer's disease. On the summer solstice, team up with the Alzheimer’s Association and select any activity you love — or an activity loved by those affected — to help end Alzheimer’s disease.

In celebration of the longest day, June 21st, a day for love and support for those living with Alzheimer’s and Brain Awareness, BrightStar Care of Cumming / Gainesville recommends fundraising to make a difference in Georgia.

How to fundraise for Alzheimer's:

Together, we can end Alzheimer's disease. When you participate in our local Alzheimer's Walk or fundraising event, your fundraising dollars fuel mission-related initiatives of care, support and research in Georgia.

Here are some ideas to get started:

  • Lead by example. Make a self-donation to show your commitment to the cause.
  • Tell your story! Update your personal fundraising webpage and tell the world why you are participating in the Walk to End Alzheimer’s.
  • Send emails from your Participant Center (already written for you!) to ask for support from friends, family and co-workers. You can also host a work bake sale, a garage sale or a game night to raise funds and awareness.
  • Get social by including a link to your fundraising page in your Facebook status.
  • Download the ALZ  iPhone or Android app to send emails and check your fundraising progress on the go from your phone, tablet or laptop.
