Selma Mirante, MBA, President and Owner – As the owner of BrightStar Care of
Dublin & Castro Valley territories, Selma Mirante brings over 20 years of management experience as a former Vice President and Chief of Operations of a 25 unit restaurant chain with 500 employees, as well as a Vice President of a hospitality staffing company. She received her MBA from Saint Mary’s College of California and has always had a passion for high quality client care and customer service.
Selma enjoys meeting clients and plays an important part in the hiring of all healthcare providers and making sure we fulfill our commitment to making the perfect compatibility match with caregivers and our clients.
Wilmer Rivera, RN, BSN, MBA, Director of Patient Care Services – Passionate about providing good, quality care to our patients and respecting their dignity in the process, Wilmer joined BrightStar Care in 2008 as the Director of Patient Care Services. He received his Geriatric sub-specialist education at Washington State, obtained his Bachelors in Nursing from the Philippines and garnered his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Phoenix. Wilmer brings over 24 years of nursing experience to our team.
Nicholas Mirante, Business Development Manager – As the Business Development Manager, and a former caregiver for a quadriplegic friend and his father with dementia, Nicholas joined the BrightStar Care team in 2013. He graduated from Loyola Marymount University in 2010 with a B.A. in Theatre Arts and Business Administration and enjoys being a healthcare resource for families and care facilities.
Victoria Barnes, Caregiver, Care Coordinator– After seeing the Undercover Boss episode about BrightStar, Victoria, a proud stay-at-home mom of 3 children, knew she would work for BrightStar, especially since she had been her daughter’s personal caregiver. Victoria brought her natural skills to BrightStar, caring for newborns to the elderly. Today, Victoria is the Care Coordinator in the Dublin office, providing the perfect matched staff to our clients the way she would have wanted for her daughter.
Maggie Lucca, Overnight/On-Call Care Coordinator – Maggie joined BrightStar Care in March 2013. She has worked in the client services industry for over 20 years and during that time she enjoyed the role as a client advocate. Maggie is delighted to be part of the BrightStar Care team and is dedicated to helping clients and their families, making BrightStar Care a perfect fit to engage her passion for client advocacy.
