Tracy and Jean Overla
"Tracy and Jean were drawn to the home care industry with both of them having a caring heart for people in need. Having senior parents needing additional care with unexpected health issues leading to hospital stays and recuperation, Tracy and Jean could easily see how needed a quality home health care agency is. They also realized with having loved ones in that situation, how very important it is to be able to trust and depend on a company with great credentials and a broad spectrum of care. They realized BrightStar Care fit that mold and were drawn to the franchise and their high standards. Prior to becoming the owners of BrightStar Care of East Lake County and West Lake County, Tracy worked as a manager at a predominant car dealership in Merrillville, IN. Jean worked in restaurant management, and marketing as a Sales Manager for an upscale local magazine. The gratification of helping people and their families has been the most rewarding work experience Tracy and Jean have encountered in their careers. It is their pleasure to serve Lake County, Indiana residents and families as they would want their own families to be treated."
I started my nursing career in college working at a hospital as a CNA, which helped build a strong foundation. After obtaining my Bachelor’s Degree and becoming an RN, I worked one year in a medical-surgical unit, then moved to a new hospital to work in Critical Care for over 15 years, becoming a charge nurse after 5 years. After 15 years in the hospital, I switched to homecare, working for a Medicare Agency and then moving on to BrightStar.
"Lisa Palinca has more than 17 years of managed services, strategic staffing experience and working with leading healthcare systems. Her expertise includes employment models, contingent labor strategies, MSP and vendor management programs, recruitment innovation, and recruitment outsourcing. Lisa has had a lot of community involvement with local nursing homes, physician offices, hospitals, assisted livings, nursing homes, as well as helping families with their at-home healthcare needs. She has achieved top performance in business sales with previous employers, making sure her clients were always provided quality care. Working with local colleges, she has spoken to students, helping guide them in their healthcare careers. Lisa helps ensure we meet the highest standards in quality and service, benefiting our customers and caregivers. Understanding the challenges that families face when caring at home for a loved one who is aging or is ill, Lisa is dedicated to providing quality home care services. Employee Onboarding Coordinator
"Linda's background for the last 12 years has been in long-term care, serving in a number of capacities in a CCRC (continuing-care retirement community). She worked as Social Service Designee, served as Activity Director for approximately 200 residents, and Customer Service Specialist, working with families on their special needs once entering the community. Linda has also worked as an Eldercare Advisor for a Nationwide referral agency called “A Place for Mom.” She spent her days helping families navigate through the complexities of finding appropriate options for retirement living, assisted living, and other care level needs such as skilled nursing, home care, and memory care. Linda considers it a real blessing to be part of the leadership team with BrightStar Care of Lake County. Her prior experience with us as Account Manager and Client Service Coordinator allows her to continue to provide help in those areas while recruiting and onboarding the great Nurses and Aides that serve our clients. She also has the privilege of interacting with families during client assessments and follow up."
Senior Client Services Coordinator
"Brooke brings a background of excellent client care and excellent customer service to her position at BrightStar. As an experienced Certified Nursing Aide and Home Health Aide, Brooke understands firsthand the personal care needs of our clients and their families. Brooke’s prior experience as a Unit Manager at a Skilled Nursing Facility and as a Pharmacy Technician also allows her to bring an overall healthcare perspective to the great care and service we are constantly striving to deliver. As the lead service coordinator, Brooke works directly with clients and caregivers to develop and implement the care schedules. She also communicates with clients and their families on an ongoing basis to make sure that their care and service needs are met. Brooke is a valued member of the BrightStar leadership team working directly with the Owners, Clinical Staff, and Caregiver Team to deliver excellent care and excellent service for our clients. Our Clients and Caregivers alike appreciate Brooke’s friendly and professional approach to her work."

Marjorie (Molly) Clark
"Molly’s background as a Rehab Floor Nurse and Rehab Charge Nurse gives her a special perspective in her work as our RN Community Educator. Molly brings that experience to her work each day as she is out in the Community developing great working relationships with our Referral Sources. Molly especially values our Safely Home service to help clients and their families dramatically reduce the stress and complications that can occur as people transition from a hospital or rehab unit back to their home. In addition, Molly’s personal experience as the primary caregiver for a family member has made her value and appreciate BrightStar’s focus on providing excellent person-centered care and service. Molly thoroughly and enthusiastically enjoys her role of being our BrightStar “Ambassador” in our clinical community. Her positive attitude and energy are welcomed and appreciated by everyone she meets."
