Our Director of Nursing in Edmond | Oklahoma City, OK

Providing RN oversight on every case from day one

Debra Moore, RN

DebraMooreHow long have you been a Nurse?
I’ve been a Registered nurse for 16 years. I obtained my associates degree in nursing from Oklahoma City Community College in May 1999 and my RN license in May of 2000.

What experience do you bring to BrightStar Care®?
I began my medical career as a CNA on a medical surgical floor. I worked for Midwest Regional Medical Center in Oncology for 14.5 years. I became Chemotherapy certified and worked outpatient chemotherapy for 5 years. I was promoted to Director of both Inpatient and Outpatient Oncology, a position I held for 4.5 years. After that I was Clinical Director at local hospice agency while working part-time for BrightStar Care. After 10 months I knew I wanted to join the company; so, when the Director of Nursing position opened up in May of 2016, I eagerly jumped at the opportunity.

What aspect of your job are you most passionate about?
Providing quality and compassionate care that our clients deserve. I expect our nurses and caregivers to care for our clients as they would for themselves or a family member. I won’t tolerate anything less than that.

I provide A Higher Standard of Care for our BrightStar Care® clients by...
Taking time to listen to our clients’ and then meeting their needs, wants and “must haves”. My goal is to ensure a level of care that exceeds their expectations and allows them to consider us part of their extended family. Our clients are very dear to me and I want them to have the best possible care experience._INS_Logo_200wide
