Ed Fichtel, Owner
After 30 years working in various business and operational roles at several Fortune 500 companies, I decided to pursue a career in home health care. As my parents faced the challenges of growing health concerns and how to address their own care needs, I realized this was an area where I felt a strong desire to dedicate this next phase of my life. My wife Karen and I decided on BrightStar Care when we came to understand how well matched our values were and how BrightStar Care could allow us to build a great home health company in service to our community. I am also currently serving on the Board of Directors as well as a volunteer for Transitions4You, a Christian based organization serving displaced families living in local motel communities. I feel blessed to provide this service to help others in need.
Karen Fichtel, Owner
With over 30 years in the dental field, I come to BrightStar Care with a goal of helping others by leveraging my exceptional people skills. One of my greatest takeaways from my Dental Hygiene experience is the ability to put others at ease when facing a difficult situation. Over the years, I have volunteered for hospice, Special Olympics, and my church. I have also become a strong advocate for both human and animal rights. Working at BrightStar Care is an extension of my caring nature and passion for helping others

Amanda Bacon, Client Care Manager
Before joining the BrightStar team, I had recently graduated from high school not knowing what exactly I wanted to do in life. I knew that there was one thing that had always intrigued me and that was the medical field. My two sisters were the ones who encouraged me to get out there and start looking for jobs in the medical field since they are both CNA’s. I later met someone who is a part of the BrightStar company and I enjoyed how much they cared about their staff and the quality of care being provided to their clients. I knew I wanted to work with BrightStar because they share the same values as myself. When I’m not at work I am a family orientated person I spend a majority of my time with my siblings, dad, and extended family.
Ronda Christiansen, Client Care Manager
With more than 7 years in human services, I joined BrightStar Care to help others meet their in-home health care needs. I have always been passionate about working with clients to develop a unique plan of care that improves their daily lives and helps them achieve their independence. When our clients receive the care they need and deserve, I feel like I have made a difference in their lives. As a client care manager, it has been my pleasure to pair our community’s children and elderly populations with the services they need to thrive and be successful. That has been invaluable to me on a personal and professional level.
Jessica Clute, LPN, Assistant Director of Nursing
I became an LPN in March of 2016. I spent almost four and a half years working in the field of addiction medicine where I started as a dosing nurse and worked my way up to being Lead Nurse. I gained valuable experience in my past position with a variety of populations. There was a common theme in each position I held, and it was my passion for being a patient advocate. My move to BrightStar was a decision I did not take lightly. It was driven by the care and compassion our staff has for the clients. Currently I am serving as the Assistant Director of Nursing where I am responsible for ensuring we have a quality team to meet our client’s needs.
