Bill Tolia | President Bill was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA and has a BS in Business Administration from Slippery Rock University. He moved to Ft Lauderdale in 2002. He is also an international field representative and sits on the board of directors of People for Care and Learning. PCL is a non-profit humanitarian organization that cares for the poor by combining training with opportunities that give the poor a working chance toward a brighter future. He also is an active member of Men and Women of Action that is a volunteer organization that builds schools, churches, medical clinics, orphanages and learning centers around the world. He has been with PCL and MWOA for the past 11 years. Prior to PCL, he founded Phoenix Communication Group in 1988. Phoenix was an IT staffing and consulting company in the New York metropolitan area that was sold in 1998 to a public corporation. Peter Mercatili | Vice President Peter is from upstate NY and has a BS in Business Administration from Slippery Rock University. He is also a CPA and owns Big Shots Sports Bar in Woodbridge, NJ. Prior to joining the BrightStar organization he founded Phoenix Communication Group in 1988. Phoenix was an IT staffing and consulting company in the New York metropolitan area that was sold in 1998 to a public corporation. Peter also worked for Price Waterhouse for 4 years. Takashi Tanimoto | Branch Manager Takashi was born and raised in Lima, Peru and is our Branch Manager. Takashi’s daily activities include Billing & Payroll, Scheduling and Human Resources management. Takashi has a Bachelor’s of Business Management and majored in Marketing at the University of Miami. Previously, Takashi served as a Sales Associate at Nishimoto Trading Co., Ltd. where he oversaw sales operations in the cities of Boca Raton & Naples. Before that, Takashi spent 3 months in Cambodia volunteering, and obtained a Certificate of Counseling Psychology at Lee Community College in Singapore. Takashi enjoys keeping busy with maintaining the cogs of business turning, to later go home and watch sci-fi movies. Nena Trotogott, RN, CLNC | Director of Nursing With over 30 years of nursing experience, Nena has committed her life to healthcare and serving others. She has been a part of the development of Cleveland Clinic Florida, multiple hospital floors and the oversight of many home health agencies. In the last 10 years she has concentrated her career from high tech nursing to the development and training of caregivers on how to provide quality healthcare to their patients. She has been an intricate part in the development of the logistics homecare and the requirements of licensure for the agency. Nena and her dog Buddy are originally from Northern Ohio although now enjoy their warm winters in Florida! Al Zweig, RN | Assistant Director of Nursing Al is a Registered Nurse with over 20 years of experience. The majority of his career has been as a High Tech Pediatric Nurse. He is presently working as the Assistant Director of our Brightstar agency in the Fort Lauderdale / Pompano East. He is also the Clinical Field Supervisor and oversees all critical high tech home health cases as well as Clinical Trials of many orphan diseases (e.g. Hemophillia: Blood Diseases, Multiple Sclerosis etc.). Al often brings treats and toys to the children he works with, bringing a little extra happiness to the tough situations they have to experience.Questions about our care team?
