2020 National Nurse Month
Now is the time to thank a nurse for their loving care, hospitality, or generous hard work.
This May, we celebrate nurses all month long. This year, during the COVID-19 pandemic, the American Nurses Association expanded National Nurses Week, traditionally celebrated from May 6 to May 12 each year, to a month-long celebration in May. What was observed during National Nurses Week and International Nurses Day is now known as National Nurse Month. We are grateful for this opportunity to elevate and celebrate nursing all month!
Nurses work hard, taking care of patients, and their kindness helps patients feel better. A good nurse gives support to patients during an illness that goes beyond clinical practice. An experience getting help, support, specialized care from a nurse can be an inspiration to a patient, and being so kind to others should be recognized. We thank our BrightStar Nurses for their priceless care and exceptional support. Besides their everyday tasks, our nurses go above and beyond to keep clients happy and safe during the COVID-19 pandemic. Their safety efforts save lives, and their commitment and hard work are commendable. Thank you to all our BrightStar Care Austin Nurses for all you do!
Thank You to Our Austin Director of Nursing, Sandy Sencenbaugh, RN
Sandy started nursing over 15 years ago in Medical/Surgical – Oncology. She was a charge nurse and has also been an Associate Professor at Austin Community College, working with Level 1 students in the hybrid program.
Sandy oversees all of our Austing medical and non-medical home health care teams, including RNs, CNAs, LVNs, and Home Health Aides. She is responsible for developing all client care plans and oversight. Every day, she has been on the front lines to help keep our patients and clients safe at home. There are no words to describe how much we appreciate everything you do and your dedication to caring for others in need. You represent BrightStar Care’s core values in all you do, and we are proud of you!
