Frank Sanders General Manager / Owner Frank has a degree in economics from Bowling State University in Ohio and an MBA in Finance from Michigan State University. He is an entrepreneur who founded The Fitness Store in Dayton, Ohio and grew it for 22 years before selling the company. He also taught entrepreneurship at the university level. In February 2015, Frank acquired Brightstar Care of Greenville/Spartanburg and Brightstar Care of Polk County North Carolina. He is a hands-on owner who personally makes sure that day-to-day operations are up to very high standards as well making the long-range plans necessary to support quality care as the Upstate and the company grow. Frank is married (See Billie Sanders, Director of HR) and they have one grown daughter residing in San Francisco and one daughter at College of Charleston.
Bobby Brooks Director of Operations With a BS in Business management and Marketing from Winthrop University, and over 25 years of management and operations experience, Bobby is a well- seasoned coach on our Greenville/ Spartanburg BrightStar team. He is, as all great coaches are, guided by integrity and driven by the desire to build a team of strong players that have a “heart” for our clients. “Our clients expect and deserve the best and I take it as a personal challenge to exceed their expectations!” Bobby has a daughter attending Anderson University while his son is a senior in high school.
Tonya Chavis Office Manager She’s a native of the Upstate and has worked in the field of home health care for 9 years. Tonya began with Community Health Connection in 2007 and stayed through the transition when it was acquired by Brightstar Care in 2011. Tonya gains satisfaction from helping and caring for people. She’s married with a 14-year-old daughter and a son who attends Duke University. She and her family enjoy taking trips to visit him on campus.
Lynn Taylor Client care manager Lynn has called Spartanburg county home since she was born. Her 15 years of field experience as an in-home caregiver give her great insight into what takes to deliver quality care. She joined Brightstar Care in May 2016. Lynn lives on a 36-acre farm and loves the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and gardening. She is looking forward to the birth of her first grandchild in 2017.
Billie Sanders Director of H.R. It takes a certain kind of person to join the field of in-home care and so excellence in Human Resources is mission-critical. Billie is responsible for talent recruitment and hiring, onboarding, employee engagement projects, continuing education and wellness coaching. She is passionate about living a healthy lifestyle as well as encouraging others to “thrive and not just survive”. She is a former college professor and served as Chairperson of Exercise, Wellness and Sport Science. In addition to working in the field of Human Resources, Billie is also a Nia and Pilates Instructor.
RN CRRN BA (Home Care)
Donna is a Certified Rehabilitation Nurse specializing in Traumatic brain injury. She has over 40 years of wide-ranging experience including long-term care, psychiatric care and in-home care. She taught nurse aides as a former Adjunct Nurse Educator at Mott Community College and Baker Community College in Michigan. Donna does initial assessments at Brightstar Care and provides detailed plans of care. She has been a case manager for 15 years and loves working with families. She is passionate about nursing and community involvement. She and her husband live in Greer.
Tina Craig RN (Professional/Skilled Services)
Tina is originally from The Upstate and attended USC Spartanburg. She has over 20 years of experience and as an infusion nurse she is a specialist at in-home I.V. She’s married with 2 children and 3 grandchildren. She loves the outdoors and has “lots of land” which she and her husband share with 9 dogs, 15 cats and a hedgehog. She favors unwanted animals acquired through animal rescue.
