Jennie Perkins is quiet and not inclined to talk a lot. But when asked what she most likes about caregiving, she was quick to respond: “I get to meet a lot of people and they become friends”.
She’s been a caregiver for 12 years and in that much time, she’s experienced and adapted to a lot of changes. Her former employer was acquired by Brightstar Care 7 years ago where she remains today. Jennie is a hard worker. Besides caregiving, she works at Sam’s Club in Hendersonville and as a scale attendant at Polk County landfill.
With 3 jobs, Jennie’s schedule leaves little free time but when she’s able, she enjoys spending time with her 6 grandchildren, four girls and two boys. Jennie also likes to relax riding her 3 wheel motorcycle. Sometimes, she even rides it to work, to the delight of her clients.
