How long have you been a Nurse? I have been a Registered Nurse for 15 years with successful clinical and management experience in a variety of health care settings. This experience includes many years as a Clinical Charge RN in the hospital setting on the Oncology, Internal Medicine, Nephrology and General Medicine units. I have also served many years in the home health setting as Director of Nursing for a home intravenous infusion company, and as a Case Manager for a home health agency. Before attending nursing school, I owned and operated a licensed day care and preschool for ages newborn to Kindergarten. What experience do you bring to BrightStar Care®? I have gained extensive clinical and management experience as a Registered Nurse that will enable me to develop plans of care for our clients to provide a higher quality of home care. My background will allow me to understand, and ensure, our clients are getting excellent care from our carefully selected health care clinicians. I have been married for 28 years and have three wonderful children. My husband and I, along with our family members, have personally experienced the challenges of caring for a loved one in the home setting. Challenges such as: assisting our loved one with a chronic illness, managing medications, falls in the home, trips to doctor appointments, errands and grocery shopping, and the need for more companionship and socialization. The anxiety felt when wondering if your loved one is safe while you are away can be overwhelming. BrightStar Care® CAN HELP! What aspect of your job are you most passionate about?
