My husband Dick and I have lived and thrived in the Appleton, Wisconsin area for over 30 years. After three decades of corporate life, I made a decision to pursue my passion for helping others. We joined BrightStar because we want to help people keep their parents and grandparents in their own homes and out of nursing facilities. My sister is a nurse and has worked at several nursing homes in various positions. She has always told me how much people would rather stay in their homes than have to move to a facility. We have also experienced this personally. My mother is blessed to be in her 80s, and while she is still very independent, I have watched her needs change over the past several years. Despite these changes, she has been able to maintain her independence and dignity with a little assistance. She made me swear to her that we will never move her into a nursing facility. Because of the services that Dick and I are able to provide to her and everyone else in our community, I am happy to say that I can keep that promise. We are truly honored to be able to make a difference and serve our community. I look forward to being of service to you and your family.
