I had a great experience hiring a caregiver for my dad with dementia for about 6 months. I interviewed a few companies and BrightStar was the clear stand-out given the level of oversight - especially since I live across the country . It was the only company that had a supervisor periodically visit to observe firsthand how things were going. Plus, it was reassuring to know that an RN oversees the caregivers. The caregiver placed with my dad, Alisha W., was truly amazing. She was extremely patient and upbeat when faced with challenging circumstances. She had such a great attitude and went above and beyond, whether it was taking him on fun outings, staying late to take him to a doctor’s appointment (even when I said no problem to send him home in a taxi), or noticing when he had a new medical issue that needed attention. She was able to establish rapport and a meaningful relationship with him when most of his other relationships fell away due to his condition. She even managed to make him feel comfortable using some personal care products for the first time, which was quite a feat.I feel so lucky to have Alisha in my dad’s life! The company was also efficient and communicative with scheduling information and billing. Top-notch.

Hands down the most professional, empathetic, hard-working health care professionals I’ve had the privilege to partner with for my Mom’s care. I’ve worked with other agencies and just assumed that I had to settle for disinterested companions who tolerated Mom; but I’ve experienced nothing but competent, engaged, empathetic companions who communicate with me and love on my Mom. BrightStar Care was recommended to me when I needed help in caring for my wife who has Parkinson's Disease and is a cancer survivor. We are now completing our second year with BrightStar. During that time we had one change in aides. Both aides were reliable, steady, capable, caring and pleasant.

Our treasured Mother needed 24/7 beginning in August of 2020. We had a prior short term assignment professionally arranged by Gladys Csizmar of their staff who immediately set up our family with an live in aide who was highly qualified and experienced. Occasionally, other aides took over when the principal aide had time off. All aides without exception produced the best possible results with our Mom. I credit Gladys and her scheduler, financial team (Katheen), and others for their family friendly commitment to meeting our needs, in fact, in many ways it was felt they were our extended family. There was never an issue too great or small for their professionals to step up to and while keeping our minds at ease. While there may be another firm as good I cannot imagine another company being better. Their culture of wholistic service to the client, and family, was evident in all that BrightStar and our team leader, Gladys, always delivered. No promises, just results!

All praise to BrightStar of Fairfield for their high-quality care, attention to detail, and flexibility. Quite unexpectedly, my mother became a hospice patient last month (March 2021). The visiting Hospice staff was wonderful but my family & I recognized that we needed to hire caregivers to help us see Mom through at home. BrightStar immediately responded to that imperative. Cheryll & Benita were Mom’s primary caregivers, always reliable, faithful, gentle and knowledgeable. Mom’s passing came very peacefully in April 2021.
