Although my Dad only needed care for a few days, we felt very lucky that Brightstar was able to work with us. The caregivers and staff worked with us closely to identify his needs, they showed great compassion, and they were highly skilled, trustworthy, and compassionate.

Hats off to Dan McCoy and the staff at BrightStar. I needed help with my husband Willie at home while I was in the hospital for surgery. When I called Dan came right away, listened to my needs and was able to take care of things promptly and professionally. The caregivers were here during the day for my husband and it went very well. I was able to come home from the hospital within four days but kept the caregivers for a few more days and they were extremely helpful for me as well. I would very much recommend this agency for your home care needs. The care and kindness we received was worth every penny. Thanks again for everything, Dan.

Brightstar Care of Hartford has been a blessing to our family.
We were burnt out covering 24x7 with Mom’s care at home.
After a lot of research we hired Brightstar Care of Hartford to help.
Dan who is the owner has gone above & beyond to help schedule care for my Parents.
Mom was the initial client, then Dad got sick & also needed to be added to Brightstar care.
Dan made sure everything ran smoothly.
He checked in many times at my Parent’s house to make sure proper care was happening.
It’s been 6 months now with Brightstar.
All positives here.

We had a really great experience with BrightStar. We had a unique situation with a family member which required flexibility and urgency. We called a few other agencies before calling BrightStar - half never responded and half would not touch our case. BrightStar called me back immediately and we had a contract and care schedule setup the same day. We are so grateful they went above and beyond for our family!
The BrightStar team was a godsend when Dad got sick. We wanted to keep Dad home but Mom needed support for this to happen. The BrightStar caregivers were skilled and professional and they took wonderful care of Dad, especially overnight so that Mom could get a good night’s sleep. Because of them, she was able to get up in the morning with Dad already taken care of for the morning. They were also a source of companionship for Mom who greatly appreciated their presence. Dan was also amazing and went out of his way to stop by regularly to check in on Mom and Dad and drop off schedules. He even brought them a signed poster from the UCONN Women’s Basketball Team because they were such big fans. He’s also checked in on Mom and the rest of the family since Dad has passed. We don’t know how we would have made it through the last year without BrightStar. We will be forever grateful for their compassion and support.

My sister and I hired BrightStar for 24/7 care for our elderly stepmother after a traumatic illness. The BrightStar aides were professional, trustworthy, and caring. As owner of the company, Dan has fostered a culture that clearly puts the patient's best interests above all else. He went above and beyond our expectations to personally spend time with our stepmother, even bringing her a signed UCONN basketball poster which she cherished because she was such a big fan. BrightStar worked with us to ensure we had a good personality match between our stepmother and the aides, and Ali also went above and beyond when we faced extraordinary care needs at the end of our stepmother's life. We are deeply grateful for BrightStar's commitment to our family and would highly recommend them. Dan's compassion was indeed a bright light in an otherwise gloomy situation.
