Joseph Guijarro, MHA
Alternate Administrator & Compliance Supervisor
Joseph Guijarro joined BrightStar Care of South Texas in June 2016. Mr. Guijarro earned a Bachelor of Science in Health from the University of Texas (San Antonio) in 2014 and a Masters of Health Administration from the University of the Incarnate Word San Antonio in 2016. Prior to joining BrightStar Care, Joseph focused on his studies while volunteering and engaging in numerous internship and fellowship programs in preparation for obtaining his first position in healthcare administration. Together with his colleagues at BrightStar Care of South Texas, Joseph strives to deliver a Higher Standard of Care for the people of San Antonio and surrounding communities.
Mr. Guijarro lives in San Antonio, Texas with his wife and their three four-legged, fur children.

A Midwest transplant, Jessica graduated from Loyola University Chicago with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology, and dual minors in English and Anthropology. Shortly after graduation, she began her professional career at a Chicago home health agency, where her love for healthcare blossomed. After a career transition to marketing, sales, and advertising that boasted her 10+ years of experience in that field, Jessica moved to San Antonio in 2016 when her then-marketing career relocated her to Texas.
In 2018, Jessica re-examined her career choices and decided she wanted to spend her time doing what she was passionate about: helping others. Soon after her self-discovery, Jessica was presented with an opportunity at BrightStar Care, where she was welcomed to the team as an Authorization Specialist. After several months of pioneering and initiating best practices, she was soon promoted to department lead. In 2019, her efforts garnered her a transfer to the role of Human Resources Assistant where she flourished, and was soon given the opportunity to become Human Resources Manager.
Jessica and her team strive to promote a cohesive work environment, while attaining top healthcare talents in the San Antonio market.
Juan Rodriguez joined BrightStar Care of Metro San Antonio in April 2015 and was hired as a temporary Medical Records Clerk. Shortly after his enlistment in the US Navy serving his time attached to the USS George Washington CVN 73, Juan’s ambition to not take no for an answer on moving up in the chain of the business has now landed his current position as a Payroll Specialist. After many trial an error experiences, his skill set has grown to the passion of providing the best possible practices and services to his fellow co-workers is well known throughout the company.
In 2017 Juan received Employee of the Year for BrightStar Care Metro San Antonio for his dedication and devotion to not only to perform his current job duties but to also step in where needed (from HR to running out to drop off medical supplies to our patients.)
PDN Manager/Care Transition Specialist
Carson joined BrightStar Care in February of 2017. After almost eight years of being a professional golf instructor, he felt the need to switch industries and use his effective communication skills and relationship management to better serve the community. Carson began as a patient liaison for a pediatric home health company until he found BrightStar Care and what became his forever home. His team share the passion and dedication to their patients that he had been searching for. According to Carson, "I feel more at home than at a place to work, and my peers feel like my family members."
Carson's primary responsibility is to obtain and oversee the transition back home for high acuity or long-term care patients. In addition, he also works closely with our provider services department helping to ensure that the highest quality of care is always provided.
Care Transition Specialist
Jonathan has been a marketing liaison with Brightstar since 2016. As a former college athlete he is happy to be part of a team with the goal of helping patients recover in the comfort of their own home. He has led the brightstar franchise in sales as an Orion challenge winner. He enjoys building relationships with our patients and connecting them with the resources they need.
Care Transition Specialist
Ron came to the Brightstar Care in 2016. That year he was part of the sales team that won the 2016 Best of Home Care awards. In the 2017, Ron earned the prestigious Blue Star Award. In 2018 he was honored as an Orion Challenge winner. Ron looks forward to providing a higher standard of care to patients, patients families and providers.
Care Transition Specialist
Paul Duduit was born and raised in San Antonio. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Physiology from Boston University. After recieving his degree, he then moved back to San Antonio where he has worked and volunteered with various government, non-profit, and commercial medical industries. His passion for healthcare led him to BrightStar, where he now manages Facility Staffing, Specialty infusions and Medications, and Provider Services. Paul has been working with BrightStar more than 2 years with a dedication to help patients receive the highest quality of care.
IT Specialist/Data Analyst
Muzammil Hussain joined BrightStar Care as an IT Specialist/Data Analyst in April 2018. He has spent over 5 years curating the ideal mix of analytics and creativity that, when paired with the technological tools and best practice solutions he possesses, creates transformative IT Solutions that support IT needs of BrightStar Care San Antonio.
Muzammil earned his M.Ed Degree in Leadership and Policy Studies from the University of Texas San Antonio in 2015. His IT family background and data-driven analytical approach assisted him in transitioning into Data Science and Information Technology. He considers himself to be a perpetual student who is always looking to indulge in new knowledge. Muzammil believes that by utilizing Clouding Solutions in the field of HealthCare Management can take BrightStar Care to new horizons.
Director, Physical Therapy
Nitin Sood is a Physical Therapist born in India, he completed his Undergraduate degree in Physical Therapy from a prestigious university in India In 2003, worked as a PT back home for a few years and then moved to the USA in pursuit of advanced education and knowledge in 2008. He completed his MS from YSU and passed his National Board exam for Physical Therapy in 2009.
Since then he has been working as a Physical Therapist and has since accumulated over 13+ years experience working as a Physical Therapist with vital experience both in home health care and in the skilled nursing home setting. With work experience in a variety of settings including home health, inpatient SNF, outpatient rehab and additionally with experience with all ages and a variety of ailments. He has been serving as the Director of Physical Therapy at Brightstar since June 2016 and was awarded the Employee of the Year awards for 2 consecutive years 2017 and 2018 due to his all round commitment to his work and wholesome contributions to the organization. He is a leader, thorough team worker and a great employee. He is very passionate about his profession and assisting people regain optimal functional potential is something that drives him.
