Assistive Technology for Caregivers: Actionable Advice/ Education & Inspiration
Date: Thursday, June 17th 12:00 Noon – 1:00 pm
Join the United Way Caregivers Coalition for an informative discussion about the challenges caregivers face and a unique program that can help. The Assistive Technology for Caregiving Families Program is a free service from United Way that helps to alleviate stress and isolation for caregivers while increasing independence and social connections for their loved ones.
Our expert panel will address the needs of caregivers and answer questions about the help that the United Way’s Assistive Technology Program can provide. Participants will learn:
• How to find resources, and support for family caregivers through United Way Caregivers Coalition.
• About the types of Assistive Technology devices available for free and how they are used.
• From program participants, how Assistive Technology has helped them and how it can make a difference for caregiving families.
