Why BrightStar Care provides homecare in Franklin, Tennessee
Home. Home is one of most positive and powerful words in the English language. It’s where the heart is. There’s no place like it. Many never want to leave it. I’ve always known that for the elderly, home was where they wanted to be. As a little boy I saw dementia overtake my Grandpa. Grandma was determined that they were going to stay in their home and did everything she could be with him rather than putting him in assisted living or a nursing facility. She moved their bed into the dining room of their tiny working class home so a live-in caregiver could have the only bedroom. Back in those days finding reliable home care for the elderly was difficult. Professional private duty nursing was scarce. My father and his siblings, busy with their own families, were challenged to find a long term care giver that they wanted in their aging parents’ home. But Grandma preserved, and in due course Grandpa passed away peacefully, right there in the dining room. The little boy grew up and among other things spent 30 years in residential development and construction in various parts of the country with several companies awarded national recognition for their customer satisfaction and quality processes. This experience burnt several things into my psyche. One was a determination to always deliver a high quality product using proven processes. Another was the important roles “home” and “neighborhood” played in the lives of so many families. And a third was being a “long distance son” and not being able to help care for my own aging parents from a distance. After my homebuilding days, my wife, Ann, and I decided to stay in Williamson County. (Loving Middle Tennessee, a home in Brentwood and Ann’s job at Franklin High School which she likes and enjoys had more than a little to do with this.) I was looking for a business opportunity in which I could "give back" to the community. When I saw the of elder care services BrightStar was providing in other parts of the country, I knew folks here in Williamson and Maury counties would appreciate the same senior assistance. BrightStar combined compassionate care with well developed processes. I looked at other franchises in both homecare and other endeavors and none compared to the professionalism and vision for the future that I found at BrightStar. In addition to elder care, BrightStar of Franklin provides the same high level of service to others in need of homecare including newborn care, disabled child care and knee or hip replacement recovery assistance. No matter what the situation, BrightStar provides families with the highest quality homecare. Our mission is to improve the quality of life of those entrusted to our care. I look forward to meeting with you and your loved ones and having our registered nurse assess your situation. Together we can develop a customized care plan, and then we will match a trained, certified caregiver to meet your unique requirements. We at BrightStar look forward to serving you. – Ron Benkert, Owner, BrightStar of Franklin
