Regular House Chores That Help Keep Seniors Safe

Owner, Deep Mukherjee explained how BrightStar Care of North Bucks national standards go beyond state requirements for home health care companies. "At BrightStar Care, we go to great lengths to adhere to the Joint Commission's National Patient Safety Goals for infection prevention, which includes thorough hand washing processes," Mukherjee shared. Some of the safe cleaning guidelines we suggest to help seniors include good cleaning practices.

Here are some examples:

  • Wash bath towel after every three uses
  • Wash bedsheets once a week
  • Mattress and pillow allergy barriers
  • Sanitizes kitchen sponge after every use
  • Let toothbrush air dry in a cabinet
  • Wipe down your cell phone every day

Here are good things for Seniors to have at home to help clean up and keep safe:

  • Hand sanitizer and wipes
  • Hand soap
  • Toilet Paper
  • Paper Towels
  • Cleaning wipes
  • Disinfectant spray and cleaner
  • Laundry Detergent
  • Trash Bags

When cleaning up, make sure to wear gloves and wash your hands to prevent germs from spreading.

This accreditation is recognized nationwide as a symbol of quality that reflects an organization's commitment to meeting superior performance standards and puts our North Bucks Team within the elite group of less than 10% of in-home health care agencies that have received this accreditation.
