Don and Maureen started their BrightStar Care agency in 2011. The motivation behind this decision was solidified when Maureen tried to find care for her mother, who had suffered a stroke. When the care received was so inadequate, Maureen and Don knew they could make a difference in the homecare industry. Providing compassionate, caring, and competent homecare services has become their passion. Actively communicating with their clients and understanding their needs and concerns has allowed them to achieve the goal of providing "A Higher Standard of Home Care" on Long Island.

Raj has been part of the BrightStar team for almost 5 years. He is a dedicated and compassionate healthcare professional with a strong passion for making a positive impact in the lives of others for over 30 years. With an extensive background in the healthcare field, he believes that empathy and compassion are crucial elements in providing high-quality healthcare. Raj is passionate about creating a supportive and comforting environment by taking the time to actively listen to individuals' concerns. He very much enjoys working for BrightStar.

Cheryl has been an RN since 1986, and has worked in both hospital settings as well as home health. Home health nursing has allowed her to connect with patients on a more personal level and help them transition from a facility to the home. Cheryl enjoys being able to educate patients, families, and staff about all aspects of care, and being able to draw from her experiences helps to make better connections and outcomes.

Cheryl joined BrightStar Care in 2019 when she and her husband moved to Long Island from Denver to be near their new grandchildren.

Cheryl is the proud recipient of BrightStar's Northeast Regional Clinical Leader of the Year for 2023.

Raven has been BrightStar's Client Care Manager for almost 4 years. She is happy to contribute positively to the office team. Raven takes great pride in making sure that you and your family are at easy with the right healthcare provider. She is passionate about creating a supportive and comforting environment for all our clients. One of her greatest strengths is her ability to connect with clients on a personal level and understand their needs. Raven believes that empathy and compassion are crucial elements of providing high-quality healthcare. Raven is fun-loving, LOVES food, traveling, shopping and spending time with my family and friends.

Tina has been with BrightStar for 9 years. She handles the hiring of employees as well managing daily office activities. Anything from client care to payroll, she is always there to offer her assistance. She takes great pride in assisting clients. In her downtime, Tina enjoys spending time with her family and dogs.
